New Tank build WOW

Well if you have been wondering where Claude has been hiding for the last month or so, this may explain a few things.

This is a monumental size build of an acylic system in Romania.

Tank details

complete special 80 mm acrylic with low density to give 95 % light through the glass ( Optiwithe glass has 78 % )

the tank has 4 x 2 x 2 m in elliptical form

Special waterflow through 8 Holes in the middle section ( 51 cm diameter )
airflow 120 mm in the middle for the climacontrol over the section

Here you can see trough 2 m high acrylic.
like you see there is no coloration in the material

This for aquarium produced special acrylic is the best material which is available at the moment.

WOW!! This is in a House????? I live in the wrong country/am way to poor LOL

Aqua-Digital 12-16-2009 02:24 PM

well this is Romania, which was an eastern block oppressed country under the regime of Nickolai Chauchescu.

I thought they traded in goats and stray whenches until Claude told me about this build.

Guess wont ask Claude who is paying the bill!

BWI 12-16-2009 02:29 PM

its all fun and games until someone has to clean the glass (or acrylic in this case I guess). :surprise:

Wow, going to be very nice. Interesting shape for sure. Background housing doesn't look to be anywhere near a high society neighbourhood, must be getting a heck of a deal :)

Pretty impressive tank.. but who is Claude and why are we wondering where he has been?

Cleaning, well one way to get your scuba training.

Head honcho at Fauna Marin. Although, I too hadn't wondered lately where he was. Saw him on RC not more than 2 weeks ago.

Haha, 80mm acrylic - anybody got a magfloat for that?

Aqua-Digital 12-17-2009 09:30 PM

I will keep you all informed of more developments as I get them ;)

rjengen 12-17-2009 10:22 PM
