wow i just love ur rock work ! looks amazing how long has it been set up for?

2.5 Months its very young. It is an upgrade from my 20g that i started with.

Almost a month of growth is that decent or could it be better???
Just added a phosban reactor last week and am now fighting ich for some reason....sigh

jess that tanks is looking really great, well done how about some chat on what you have for equipment.

As per request i will list off my setup
-55 gal disp 30 gal sump w sock, live rock, chaeto
-aquac remora skimmer
-1 koralia 2 and 1 koralia 1
-auto top off unit
-1 4 bulb nova extreme and 1 2 bulb nova extreme both on main display the 4 bulb has 1 fiji purple, 1 ati white/blue, 2 blue still need to get better bulbs for the 2 bulb
-recently added 2 phosban reactors one running rowa phos and the other carbon...too soon to see results i think its starting to make a difference but i will have to wait.

I do 2 5gal water changes a week one on wed and one on sat. I also dose 10ml of alkaline everyday not sure about this i have read that alkaline and calc should be used at the same rate but the only thing i see go down is the alk and i test for everything except strontium and iron. I also use coral frenzy and have had good results using this.

Thats the basics of what i have been doing let me know if you have any input/suggestions or questions.

I too think the aquascaping looks great.....I see the skimmer in on of the pics.....is there no room for it in the sump cabinet?

i prob could fit it in there but it would take some imagination at this stage as i overbuilt the stand and there is not a lot of room.

Those skimmers dont have to hang on the outside of a tank.....you could hang it from a baffle inside the sump:wink:

I know but i cant get the skimmer in the door lol there is no room cause the sump comes up so high don't know how to explain it....lol

I like the green milli frag. Where'd you pick that up? It's pretty sweet.

I got it at Blue Worlds frag fest from Red Coral i think it was that had set up there and it just finally started to grow only covering the base.

Hey....that would be a chunk of my green milli:lol:......good to see its doing well for you.....

Where can i get a good quiet fan for my 4 bulb nova extreme the one in there is a 2" i know i can just go to any comp store but is there anywhere that has like some really top notch fans that are super quiet cause the tank is in the living room and that fan is getting ridiculously loud.

Clownfish are now dead too........Chromis are unaffected (only fish left) i think i will not get any fish for a while now and when i do im going to take it slower i think i stocked too fast..

On the plus side i got a pistol shrimp and some deepwater zoos that i will post

Just a few update pics...

I changed the tank around a bit and swapped my k1 so i know have 2 k2s.
Also moved the hammer it doesn't like the new increase in flow but it still split all its major heads so i might sell on here in the next while.

Plan here is to have that little rock covered in gsp with those palys coming out the center...should look good they are growing fast so hopefully another month or 2

This guy has turned from brown with a green tinge to a purple blue and now (no pics) in the back its newest growth is a very vibrant blue i hope it all turns blue.

Some "Deepwater Zoos" had 2 frags the other wasted away right off the get go but this one is growing.
