What fish should I add next
I have a 20 gal tank with rocks, 2 pieces of coral (approx 4 inches across each), one clown fish (yellow) and one damsel fish (blue with yellow tail).
I would like to add more fish. My thinking in this order is: 1. Cleaner shrimp 2. another clown fish (perhaps an orange one) 3. another damsel fish (blue with yellow tail) 4. Other recommendations? |
Damsel might be some trouble but I like yellow clown goby :)
Also look into Masked Goby and Randall's Goby. |
I looked up the gobies and they would look good in the tank. Would one of each be an OK fit for the tank or would two on one kind (the yellow clown looks the brightest) be better or would only one be best.

Mixing different species of clowns often doesn't work, especially in a smaller tank. Do you know what kind of clown you currently have? (or could you post a pic?)

I agree. They may be small, but they are rather entertaining to watch. Mine is always hanging out on everything in the tank including the glass. |

This is looking like it will work for me. Another smaller clown and 2 yellow clown gobies and a cleaner shrimp.
I live in Cloverdale (Surrey). Are there places to buy new fish that are better than other places or ?? From my research it sounds like I should add fish one at a time. Would you recommend going with another clown first or with the gobies (I assume that I can add the two gobies together). |

Hi Friends,
I was wondering what species of Marine fish are easy (figurativly speaking) to breed? I'm going to start my 55 gal marine tank soon and probably after a year of getting aquainted with my SW tank I would like to breed some Marine fish. Any suggestions? |
Get an anemone crab! They're so cool looking and quite hardy!
|
Id avoid those anemone crabs, my friend had one... caused alot of troubles.
|
Really? What happened? I'd like to know because I just bought one...
|
ate fish... ate soft corals.... lol bad stuff happened.
|
Damn...! That is bad... Thanks for the heads up! I'll keep an eye on him. Geesh... And I was gonna get two more to keep him company. I bought him because I read that they were really good in an aquarium community and I needed a cleaning crew.

Did u ask about any complications at ur LFS? Get dwarf hermits if u want clean up... many other types of livestock can benefit even more than an anemone hermit.
|
Nope... I'll look into some hermit crabs tomorrow. Thanks!

I think you would enjoy some blennies!!! i love mine, always eating algae, going in and out of the barnacle
