Wowza~!
 

I just got my frag of Montipora setosa from Paul at Oceanic - I've waiting on this since late August, as it's a coral I've wanted since Reefing day 1. All I can say is wow! It's a great size frag (growing out since I prepaid back in Sept), looking encrusted and super healthy. very impressed - you're going to make a repeat customer of me for sure!

I've talked with him a few times on the phone, and he's a super guy to deal with - tried to accomodate us as best as possible, and kept us updated the whole time (from late august till now!). Setting up a buy with a bunch of us from Ontario was easy, and I look forward to dealing with him more in the future.

It's big - a lot bigger than I expected for a "frag" from a retailer, colour looks awesome, even under my room lights. I'll try to get it up (har har har) by tomorrow afternoon - it's almost 1 am here :)

I was eyeballing your Setosa when I was in the shop with Paul a few days ago.... I didn't know it was for you. Nice catch!

heres mine, they are old pics, of when they first got shipped, the setosa got even brighter, great piece. and Paul was super easy to work with, look forward to the new site guys.

Is that green stylo the one you got from me John? Those setosa's are awesome....

Holy crap, that's the biggest Setosa frag I've seen a vendor sell. It seems the more expensive the coral is the teenier the piece you get. *grumble*

Yeah, I had talked to Paul about putting it on hold for me in late August, and I had already paid for it by September - so it's had a little time to grow. We were waiting on some other frags to come to ship them all out together :)

Just a little update on this awesome frag - it's had two 'arms' fragged off for friends (and for back up).

It's growth pattern is really neat - on the side that gets a lot of flow it's starting to plate out. On the other side it's getting all branchy. Definitely one of my favourtie corals.
