anyone know where to get 1/2in starfire glass in lower mainland or Seatle area?

Call around to different glass shops and ask for starphire or low iron glass (same thing).

Actually Starphire is a brand name marketed by PPG, Diamante(sp?) also sells a low iron product, often used when over 12mm thickness is required.

try NIKI glass they are under the Port Mann

Thanx Ill try NIKI tomorrow, glass word doesnt have low iron over 6mm

Check out this fact sheet. They have it up to 12 mm........ then I think you have to get laminated sheets.

You want find better prices then Niki.

thanks for that fact sheet,hope its incorrect on sheet size.48 x65 would be too short,I was lookn for a 48 x 96.But it dosent have to be Starfire,if thats the only length they have.Any low iron will do I guess

I've heard you can get it 4X10 (48X120).

I got glass from NIKI for $3.25 sq/foot. 2 different glass shops wanted $20+

I hope it's for a terrarium. Otherwise you need 5 layers of 1/4" laminated glass and a steel frame around the outside. Pilkington (formerly AFG) is a Canadian manufacturer of low iron glass.

I think he wants 4X8 sheet not a 4X8 tank.
