Cyclop-eeze

Has anyone tried this? I got a sample from them, and my fish/inverts just went nuts over the stuff. I haven't been able to find it in any stores here (I asked in one place, which shall remain nameless, and was told that I shouldn't be putting any types of peas in my tank - I won't be visiting them again any time soon).

I was thinking of ordering direct from the company, in Redmond WA, but they only sell large quantities, i.e 12-100g cans.

Is anyone interested in a group purchase?

Noel

Its a brand of larval, post larval food used in the aquaculture industry, it comes in various microns.

Check the thread name on This Discussion. Pretty funny.

Some people are pretty pleased with the product, it seems...

Sounds good. I'll try it. How much for a can? I'd like 1 can of frozen and 1 can of dry.

spikehs 08-22-2003 08:18 PM

does anyone know if baby banggais will eat it? I wanted to get another pair, but didn't want the hassle of bbs. If they take this right after being released I might be sold....

UnderWorldAquatics 08-22-2003 08:36 PM

I have used it and the bangaii's will gobble it up and grow well. Works well for alot of post larval fish.

Wilty 08-22-2003 08:46 PM

There was a lot of happy people at that link. I'll need to have a look for it

spikehs 08-22-2003 09:05 PM

it works for 1-day baby banggai's??? thats awsome!, how much is this stuff and how long would a can last for? does it work for just born clown fry as well?

UnderWorldAquatics 08-22-2003 09:10 PM

I get it wholesale through an aquaculture supplier. It works on just about all post larval fish. so does mysis shrimp you just have to grind it up.

spikehs 08-22-2003 09:13 PM

I tried to feed my baby banggai's chopped up mysis and they wouldn't take it....Do you find the new borns take the Cyclop-eeze more readily?

Nullig 08-22-2003 11:53 PM

deepblue... do you get it in Canada? Can you give me the name of the supplier?

Noel

J&L is going to consider stocking it. Hopefully, not too long from now.

IJO 08-26-2003 02:19 AM

I have 6x 100 gram cans of this left. This stuff is awesome.. The fish, corals and filter feeders all seem to love this stuff. Pm or email me at ijo@aquaria.ca if interested.

Hi Noel. I got some from King Ed. Its really expensive. They have 20 gm and 50 gm freeze dried packages.

Nullig 09-04-2003 03:13 PM

How much is it?

To buy it from Argent direct, it works out to about $25.00 for a 100g can of the freeze-dried cyclop-eeze, but you have to order 12 cans.

Just2Bad 09-04-2003 05:41 PM

JL Aquatics should have them in store in around 2 weeks if you don't whant to buy 12 can..

I PM'ed you w.r.t. prices. Hm $25/can is a very good price. I'd take 1 if you ever get the group buy going. But doesn't look like it'll happen.

Nullig 09-04-2003 06:47 PM

Doesn't seem like there's enough interest.

Guess I'll check out King Ed or wait for J&L to get it.

Just2Bad 09-04-2003 06:59 PM

This sutff is really great, my fish are going crazy when I feed this and I even saw my poccilopora catch some... Great product !!!

zulu_principle 09-08-2003 10:26 PM

Lots of rave reviews on this product at MACNA

They also have a frozen package rather than the freeze dried stuff.

Wendell

PS Too bad for those who didnt go they were giving cans of this out.

pocilipora 09-14-2003 05:16 PM

J&L sells it now. I think it was something like 13-14 bucks for a small tin and 30 for a big one.

robbyville 09-14-2003 05:44 PM

Hi guys,

I saw it on J&L's web site yesterday so they should have it in stock. Jayson at Saltwater Connection is also carrying it.

Best,

Rob
