And fine looking Blastos they are!

christyf5 10-05-2009 04:48 AM

Why thank you. What exactly is that last coral you have pictured? It looks kind of funky

Myka 10-05-2009 01:38 PM

Oh I have plenty o brains!! :p I will post pics later today when I have time. :)

TheMikey 10-05-2009 03:17 PM

If you have plenty now, Myka, wait until Colby gets some really psychadelic brains in one of his shipments. I just stared at one for about 10 mins once before I remembered that open realestate on a nano's sandbed does not provide room for multiple brains.

One day...

Not totally sure, but I think it's a Symphyllia.

I believe that's it, definitely a lobo over a symphy. I don't want to post old pics so I'll get a couple new ones up soon enough. Cheers!

Doug 10-05-2009 05:18 PM

Sadly, I have no brains,, of any kind.

I wonder how many beautiful ones I have bought and sold/traded away since 1990. Could have a 200g full of them.

I was just thinking the same thing.

Does anyone keep brains without a sandbed or do they need one?

My brains never looked better for the 2 months that my tank was BB when I first got it going. I just noticed that after going through my photos. Could have been something other than the lack of sandbed though...could have easily been the fact that they had 90 gallons of fresh saltwater, and now I'm lacking in water changes. :o

Haha! I quit buying brains almost a year ago. No more brain real estate! :D

 You're seeing things. I'm guessing you are refering to the yellow blob on the right side of the tank, it's actually yellow spounge that's growing on the glass, but it is sort of shaped like a seahorse. As much as I like seahorses I can't have one in my tank as it's not a suitable home for them.

sphelps 10-06-2009 03:59 PM

Couple closed brains because I can't compete with all these awesome open brains

It's a Cynarina, often called a button coral.

Im taking my time acclimating them to be extra sure...
