|
anyone out there have an eel?

still looking!
|
good bump for an eel!
|
found some! i got 2 little morays! now what to feed them? any suggestions
i could do little feeders or i could feed frozen |
Do you have a canopy or top cover, if not, have fun as they are great at escaping.
I too would love a Snowflake, but I don't have a cover, so I won't take the chance. Snowflakes are not that expensive, here in Calgary usually about $40 for one at the LFS, check with a LFS in your area. They could always order one in their next fish shipment, then hopefully you get. |
alright so, i bought some frozen shrimp and tried feeding it to them, they both took a piece but didnt eat it
should i just keep them on live food? |
I feed mine shrimp from shrimp rings from the grocery store. Cheap & large.
|
what kind of eel did you get
|
they are little speckled morays about 5 -6" long and so far they have eaten feeder goldfish and had no interest in shrimp frozen
|
dude dont feed them gold fish no good for them try some silversides
did you say you got 2 of them i read that thay wont get along together to well when thay get bigger how big of a tank do you have ? and now we need to see some pics lol |
To get my baby zebra moray to eat I had to wiggle a piece of raw tiger prawn by his nose using tongs. Some morays will eat live clams but I'm not sure about yours. I wouldn't rely on feeder goldfish, too little nutritional value.
