Reefers Meeting OCT 4 Edmonton
 

Hi Guys

Yes I know this is kinda early but I am proposing a reefers meeting on Sept 27 or Oct 4 at the South Side Montana's at 130 pm. You get to meet old face and new ones as well. NEWBIES welcome. Some people want the Tank Tour this year...Put your name on this thread if your interested. Ex-rally car driver Neal will be at the wheel.:twised: Times will be arranged later. I will be selling SPS frags a week before that and you can pickup at the meeting. I will be reminding you every week. :mrgreen:

Hi everyone. This is sounds great I would like to participate. But please do tell how the tank crawl will work.

I'm not sure how this one will work but on the last one Neal was nice enough to donate his time and limo to drive us around to visit various people tanks. Then most of us met at Chilli's after for some food and beverages.

Last year we visisted: ( Might even be two years ago now )

People do this to get the thread to the top of the list.

"bump" Means to bump the thread back to the top of the forums. If you asked a question in a thread and it slipped to the second page without an answer you can "bump" the thread back to the top of the first page by adding a reply to it.

Well since the camper is being put away soon and another month until sledding seasons starts I might be able to make it....but you don't wanna see mine...TRUST ME !!

I think we are going to go with Sept 27. I am now looking for places for the tank tour...anybody want to show off their tanks. Otherwise it will just be one of those lunch meetings.

Is Neal able to do the same sort of thing like last year? I'll have to talk to Steve but we could probably be a part of the tour again, as long as people don't mind squeezing into my tiny basement.

How many people are coming out?

I wish I could attend, but I'll be out of town this weekend.

I would like to suggest that we should start at Blue water world so hopefully Ken can get some business out of it...then i can visit them as well.lol

Ken's coming with us and he's got the keys so we can show up after hours. To be fair I think we might want to include some of the other shops in the area. Unless they are coming with us as well. If you are coming on "Tank Tours 2009" please state on this thread, I startup a list. I will leave it up to Neal on the times that are good him.

That's ok, you can bring the baby along and get an early start to getting the baby hooked on the hobby :lol:

Steve and I are in and we can show our tanks. I also like the idea for stopping at Blue World at some point :biggrin:

I was thinking about my earlier statement as well, and I realized that I was leaving out other sponsers. so to them, I apologize.
maybe stopping by Marine aquaria can be part of the tour as I have yet to make it there.
As for times, I am pretty flexible.
Maybe meet at Blue world Aquatic at like 1 or 2 pm, cruise for 2 to 4 hours, then dinner at the end for those that choose to.
again, I am open to suggestions
I would also suggest that we should look at this in december as well, that way, my tanks will be up and ready to been seen by people and they can see my house after the last year and a half.

Marine Aquaria is not open on Sundays, just to let you know. I would like to say yes I can come but I'm not sure if I'm going to Banff this week-end yet or not.

as a newbie i was thinking of joining in on the tank tour to meet some fellow reefers....just wondering the basic timetable to see if the wife can come or if i have to fly solo....

I would love to come but this Sunday all city attractions are free in Edmonton so I'm taking my family around to do the fun stuff. More notice in December would be great. I actually organized a tank tour of about 10 tanks 5 or 6 years ago. We visited some very mature reefs on people that weren't even on canreef. It was a treat. Then we all went for dinner. I'd love to meet some of the local reefers than have joined the scene in my few year absence from the hobby..... Make you you guys post pictures. Hope to make the next one.
