Closing inventory***final week****
 

With the impending construction we need to clear our tanks and all stock we may have on the shelves. We will close down for minimum one month once everything is in place to begin the construction.Construction could possibly go longer as we got bad news on some of our systems we will have to basically redo the entire store.Being a messy job for what we have to do, the less livestock and dry goods we need to move around the better. SO..........The following sales will be available from Sept 12th at noon until Friday Sept 18th at close.

-We will be cutting down our stock items for Dog, Cat, Reptile, Small animal and Bird so current items will be on sale for 40%-70% OFF!!!!!! (excludes dog and cat food)

-Freshwater dry goods will be 30%-50% off and livestock 20% off !!!!

-Saltwater dry goods will be 25%-40% off and livestock will be 25% off (fish only) !!!!

-Now heres the kicker....ALL corals (except my display tank :p ) are going to be $20 bucks each!!!! smaller pieces will be 2 for $20 (some of the zoos and stuff)


We also have a few tanks from our systems we will be selling (30G breeders used) for $50 each and possibly some larger ones yet to be determined. A couple of (90G's?) 125 each. Our SPS tank (once emptied) for 800.

There is also
1 x 48" 2 x 150W Current USA light (used) for $350, *SOLD*
1 x 48" 2 x 250W Degenbao (used)for $500
1 x 36" four light Tek Light (NEW) for $250 *SOLD*
1 x 72" Mogul Coralife Elite fixture....use whatever ballasts you like to make it either 250 or 400W for $400 ***pending confirmation of sale***

As mentioned all lights on systems will be going as well....if we can clear out coral tanks all three halide systems will be up for grabs that Friday first come first served....I think i already posted the prices of the Italian light and Photon...the other 6 ft 3 x 150W (only halides) fixture will go for 600 as it has new bulbs in it.

and some other odds and ends here and there. Come by and check it out !!

Our goal is to have the entire store cleared of contents by the 18th. Then it gives us an extra week to prep for this and move our shelving around and out of the way. Thank you f.or all your support and we look forward to seeing you all.

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control we will not be open tomorrow. I will be in store so if there is anything urgent feel free to call or just bang on the door if it is your only available day to come out. Thank you and again we apologize. Normally they are 11am to 6pm everyday but Monday (closed) with Fridays closing at 8 pm .

I think they are closed for good. There was rumors circulating for a few months. Too bad, this store was in the Fraser Valley :sad:

I sure hope so, It is amazing how many people have saltwater tanks in Abby-Mission & Chilliwack.

It's too bad . With the new mall that's projected for 2011 it would have generated alot of traffic in the area.

Well this is interesting to see....as well as the post that was in the lounge and edited. Both of these goes to show what kind of person you are Ian. Such Couth. Nothing like trying to kick someone when they are down eh. At least our capabilities were legal and not illegal to stay in business. I guess the big thing here is "mind your own business!" Didn’t your mother ever tell you if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at all?

I would like to say however to those well wishers and others thank you for the kind comments. We are gone....for now :twised: . Due to family and health issues of family along with the downturn of the economy in February till just recently are the reasons behind this closure (for anyone who wanted to know the truth)

We will of course miss all of you as well during this hiatus....we will be back I just can’t promise how soon. We have enjoyed every minute with every customer and the friendships we made along the way. We hope when the time comes for us to be born anew we will see you all again.

My point exactly, accusations such as this based on nothing but competitive bashing and assumptions and you are no different, don't think for a second that some of my customers were also your customers and in turn relayed some pretty offensive comments you were making about my business in your conversation with them.

I have never bad mouthed your business or any other business on Canreef; in fact, I had to be in defensive mode the whole time while running OC because of ill intentioned jealous competitors...

I didn't mean to be offensive with my comment above, I simply heard rumors just like a couple of others had mentioned earlier in this thread. Little do you know I was actually in your shop not long ago to buy some filters and a bag of KZ carbon, you actually served me at the till but you don't know what i look like, I have no problem supporting other local shops instead of just bashing them.

I will not deny I made some offensive comments on your corals...I dont think there was a person who didnt just as there were those that thought the opposite. You forget Ian that I am not basing anything I said on assumptions in terms of your legalities....I also wholesale and know several other wholesalers who think just the same as I do as we have tried several ways. Please dont get your ego blown up thinking I was jealous. I was merely looking out for the reprocussions your actions could have caused to the rest of us should Ron have gotten wind of it.

If you were in my shop then why would you not introduce yourself? Seems a little strange to me but hey what do I know. This wasnt to start a ****ing match nor put your business down. From the start we had people saying we were closing ....but coming from a former vendor in such a snide, " I knew it all along" way...little unbecoming thats all. You have a beautiful child Ian congrats to you and your wife and we wish you well.

If you ever start up again in the future, I and my Visa will be there. I will enjoy the beautiful corals I received from AA at awesome prices. I, like many of your customers, will remember the good times watching the Canucks' games at AA last season while we watch the Nucks make a run for the Cup this season.

Now that both of you are no longer "in the same industry", maybe we can all get together to watch a Nucks' game on tv some day.

I appreciate the fact that my comment was not articulated properly and again was not meant to be offensive. I was in your shop a few times but felt that because of the comments that I heard you were making that it would not be constructive to spark conversation at the time considering you looked busy.

I had nothing to do with the wholesale side of the business so it was the accusations and legality finger pointing that upset me the most. Either way I still spent my money at your shop as I do believe that supporting local business within the hobby is important, I guess I was not used to all the whispering that goes on behind closed doors in this business.

VERY sad to see you gone. I loved shopping with you guys whenever we came over. Always nice corals, and fantastic conversations. You will be missed in the hobby by many!

Also last chance on the SPS tank/stand/sump/pump (ill also throw in the closed loop pump) for 600 and the cascade tank/stand/sump/internal pump for 550. We also still have the Italian 3 x 400w light remaining, 2 x 250 degenboa light, 3 x 150W coralife (halide only). The lights and equipment are already in storage so you will have to let me know to bring them prior to closing should you want to buy them.

I will be in the store after 6pm tonight taking all the tanks down so nows the time :) I will also be available on Friday after 6pm and possibly sat & sun by appointment. Thank you
