AA Event notice
 

Just notice to everyone about June 20th. We will be having an all day BBQ with hot dogs and pops/juices by donation with all proceeds collected that day to go to C.H.I.L.D. (Children with Intestinal and Liver Disorders Foundation).
Aquatic Addictions is proud along with Darrin and Toreen and The Great Canadian Dollar Store to offer for raffle a beautiful saltwater set-up for beginners!

Tickets are being sold via telephone and at the front counter until June 27th(noon).

The winning ticket will receive the following:

-36 Gallon Hex tank with stand and cap
-Fluval 405
-One Hydor Koralia 1
-Rock,sand and livestock (paired clownfish, couple plate corals and couple of ricordeas)
-150W Metal Halide Pendant and all accessories (heater etc.)

This is an established system so it is perfect for someone to get started easily and quickly.

I have seen the tank. Nice small setup. Nice to see someone doing something good these days. Keep it up guys. I saw your new order when I was in there. Nice stuff. Probably going to pick up that powder blue........if it's still there by the weekend.

Just wanted to let people know that we will be having a few deals to be had to try and make this event the best it can be to raise money for the kids.

One more day till the BBQ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mmmmmm I love BBQ....its almost like Christmas dinner...you can never get enough :)

If you have been in and seen the tank we (AA) will be adding some corals to the system before the winner gets it :)

i seen this tank the other day and it is freakin amazing. i gotta scam work today somehow and claim i'm 'sick' to get out to the store in time to get some tickets! not to mention the bbq food. whatta mooch. anyway, good on you guys for doing an event like this. not often you see places doing fund raisers to help others. very impressive.

Has anyone gone there yet. I heard there might be in store sales but not sure. I was so close to buying another tank setup the other day. After seeing the stuff theY have in stock I got the itch again. The free setup would be even better

I was just up there. I'm not sure if there is an actual sale or not but the prices were awesome. Just picked up a bunch of zoas and a few frags of some sps. Things are looking really good. Niloc......if you have the itch than you better scratch it. GET A TANK!!!!!!

dont get me going on the itch. i want the perfecto 300 now. mmmmmmm saltwater. i wanna be a sps snob again!!!! mind you once youve gone sps you never go back! :biggrin:

We would like to thank all those that came out today and showed their support for the kids.

We would like to continue this again tommorow (Sun) so we can give the utmost effort to the children in need of medicines and cures.

Dont forget....Tickets are still on sale one for five dollars or five for twenty dollars to win the small salt water set up ;) (ALL PROCEEDS GOING TO C.H.I.L.D.)

We raised a total of $235 from our BBQ and still have one week left in ticket sales for the Salt Water tank!!!!!

This is great. When I bought the ticket I did not know there were more prizes than the salt water aquarium setup!

Thank you so much for the saltwater system Dan & Nikki!!! And thank you for donating the prize for such a worthy charity! I can't believe I won! :) I guess we're going to now be dragged kicking and screaming into the world of saltwater tanks! YAY!!!!!! I'll try to post pics once it's set up here.

There was only one grand prize originally but Dan & Nikki felt bad that there was only one so they added several others at their cost.

Thanks for doing this, regardless of whether I win or not. It was all for a good cause.
