Perks of being a reefer

A few months ago a sheriff for the MD of Rockyview came over to ask about my dogs... I invited him in and he went nuts over my reef set up. His partner was rolling his eyes and calling him a geek due to having fairy wrasses and being excited over how much some of them cost... He is a canreef member I came to discover as well. We talked fish and had a great time.

Hubby was coming home yesterday and was speeding as usual... this same fellow pulled him over. Needless to say, he let hubby off, because his wife has an awesome aquarium.

Thank goodness for that because one more ticket will mean hubby will be suspended for a month of driving. How awesome is that!!!

I think the saddest part is back when we first met 16 years ago... he would be speeding to come see me.

So maybe you should be paying his speeding tickets eh?

We have a comedian in our midst:razz: smart ass.

I don't pay his tickets but end up having to do damage control when he gets it suspended... was hoping his bike would have sold. The crotch rocket does wonders for demerits.

Yeah, it's hard to keep them babies at the speed limit all right.

That's why he usually runs from the sheriffs around here... hated it when I would be riding with him... He would blow past the speed triple like it was parked, and I always worried the sheriffs would bust me since I was way behind. We used to have muscle cars and modded trucks and used to do the late night weekend street racing back in the good old days. I lost my license a few times back then for speeding and stunting of course.

may be the cop liked the muffins that you cooked him .... or was it the donuts or the timmys coffee

my2rotties 05-01-2009 03:28 AM

Hahaa there is no timmies any where close to here, and I do not bake or buy donuts. He actually loved the tank. I have a feeling they came by the house to check it out due to the power bill more then doubling in a month and a half. They were asking questions about the dogs, but it was really nothing that anyone would come and have concerns about. Plus it was not the usual officer that deals with bylaw issues as she is my buddy. Who knows... but it made his day to see another person whom has lost their mind on a marine aquarium. Not many people would understand as we all well know ourselves.

He sent me pictures of his set up and it is spectacular, I just cannot say whom it is since I don't want him in any trouble.

I've been waiting fro them to come "have a talk" with me. With all the tanks, AND a 18,000W powdercoat oven. My bills are often $200+/month for power

Mine for February was $460!!! I almost had a heart attack. NO wonder they came by. I have no clue why it was so much, and it was under $200 the following month... go figure.
