MH Lighting

You need it. I'm just sayin'....

mseepman 04-22-2009 04:41 AM

Haha...

I couldn't agree more!

Delphinus 04-22-2009 04:56 AM

Not only do you need it, you need more.

(I was going to say the above using "I" instead of "you" but decided it came off as too risque'..)

banditpowdercoat 04-22-2009 12:15 PM

Yes, it's been way to long, I surely do need it.

Of course!

to think.. sope people actualy think you can use thoies dim T5's to grow coral, might as well be using a 60 watt light bulb.

Steve

Leah 04-22-2009 12:39 PM

100 watt bulbs are watt work way better.

Aquattro 04-22-2009 01:31 PM

Well, looks like we all agree, so MH it is. You must have MH to grow coral. Or lots of 100w bulbs -lol

Nice!! I don't have any brown ones, but I'm hoping..

Leah 04-22-2009 01:53 PM

If you don't want brown then you just use two 100's. Worked like a charm saves
lot's on bulbs.

banditpowdercoat 04-22-2009 01:53 PM

2 100's instead of 2 150's. Ohh, I'm so confused:question::question::question:

It's easy. They go white eventually, no more brown. Although my favorite acro colony ever was brown. Actually, my second favorite. My first favorite acro was a poccilipora...

Delphinus 04-22-2009 04:38 PM

You don't have to keep calling your aquarium to keep the screensaver interval from timing out?

This is the most pretentious topic I have ever read.

Let's look at solid, real-world facts about a lighting source that you actually do need:

T5's were a key player in the industrial revolution.
T5's had a heavy part in the Canuck's outstanding blowout victory last night.
T5's fight global warming.
T5's know kung fu.
T5's save lives.
T5's set the benchmark for human rights amongst the civilized world.
T5's kept your little sister from dating that disaster of a meatscrap Dylan.
T5's have more PAR than the midday sun.
T5's understand your needs.

I could go on and on, but you guys get the point.

I hope you didn't pay for that app. After all, you can just set the video camera light to be on any time you go into the camera mode.

My secret(free) flashlight app for my blackberry Bold.

For the joke's sake it wouldn't have sounded as good to say I open up google in Safari. I use any windows that are mostly white lol.

StirCrazy 04-24-2009 01:34 AM

I agree. I like running a 13-15K MH bulb which usually will burn closer to 10-11K, and then add some supplemental T5s for color. :D Fiji Purple and AquaScience 17,500 (or 22,00K) FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

banditpowdercoat 04-24-2009 04:28 AM

So, I just swapped my 96W of T5 for 175W MH We'll see how everything reacts
