Anyone have a rose BTA I could put my name on a waitlist for a future split?
|
Tony;
I have Med size Rose BTA's coming in on the 2nd of April. Kevin |
Cool thanks I'll look out for that.
Still interested in someone's split too though if there are any. Realize it's a long shot but figure you can't know what's out there if you don't ask. :) |
Sure. Any idea how to encourage it to split - it's getting to be a monster.

I found that large water changes at room temperature seemed to promote splits. Mitch |

My status should be changed from member to lurker... I should add the conditions that I performed these room temperature water changes. (you've the setup, Deb) I kept most of my BTA's in a remote DSB 180g sump. the change in temperature would have very temporary because once I had changed the water, I would turn on the main pumps again. Total water volume in the system was about 400g. Water change amount was about 40g. I don't want people trying this in smaller systems where they could possibly make a significant long term temperature change and shock all the inhabitants. (BTW, Deb, you should see the size of Foxy these days. She's like a big yellow cigar!) Mitch |
can you ship to edmonton?send pm

Well, won't be getting one from me Tony.
After staying put for a year, she headed into the hydor. :cry: |
Same thing happened to me, came home to about 5000 little red floaties and the 1/4th of a RBTA that was still there was sucked into my Korellia 8 and looked like a bar of grated cheese :neutral:. Thanks for the info though Mitch!
