lastlight 03-16-2009 05:17 PM

Yeah but keep in mind this live rock is at least TWICE as alive as your standard live rock =) Hence the price.

Myka 03-16-2009 05:21 PM

Hey at least both me and him got a good laugh.

Oh, thanks for pointing that out lastlight!! I will have to go check it out now. :p

Well said, but even then I personally wouldn't even take it. This guy must be one of those experts I keep hearing about.

Well, if they pay you 9/lb, you can then turn around and sell it for another 4/lb to someone that likes xenia! :)

Their name really isn't important, is it?

It was rhetorical

I've had the same problem as Myka lately. We've both been trying to buy rock, or full setups for the rock..

Seem the other trouble is people with ~40lbs of rock, seem to think it's actually 100. I dunno about you, but it would sure be hard to fit 100 pounds of rock in a 33 gallon.. Wonder which LFS @ $13/pound...

banditpowdercoat 03-17-2009 12:15 AM

Total Pet in kamloops has rock $13.99/Lb I thought, what a deal LOL

Aquattro 03-17-2009 12:24 AM

I paid 18/pound for my first batch of live rock, although it was covered in a lot more life than you'd ever see these days. and this was 15 years ago! sure glad the price has come down! :)

Chowder 03-23-2009 05:35 PM

Yup.

Myka 03-23-2009 06:40 PM

Bumping it up for someone in particular? ;)
