Sam, yes it is. The acro in front is only there temporarily. It's going to a new home shortly.

Jack, it hit the surface last month anyway, and it has flattened out across the surface.

Steve is absolutely correct. These are trimmings from some of the faster growing colonies that nobody wanted.

Jack, I only have one colony that will go on this pile due to bugs. The rest were just getting too big.

let me know if you need to dispose anything. that looks like a nice sized colony you pulled out :eek:

tank looks great tho. to bad for the "no-more spacious" ...or whatever steve diagnosed you with :rolleyes:

Jack, that large colony started dying from the middle out. Not enough flow I guess.

could you re-use those frags in your calcium reactor? would it work?

Jack, not a dumb question at all, but no, you can't use them (effectively) in the reactor. They are composed mostly of calcite, which has a lower solubility than aragonite. You end up with the skeletons on the bottom of the reactor when all the aragonite is gone.

makes sense. i figured it wouldnt be possible because the corals would change the form of calcium but curiousity got the best of me
