Post for Kevin at RC, this is the tank I was talking about
a tank with a reef wall, great idea
What a cool idea!
Sweet tank...
Now that is a nice set-up ! Such a great idea.
I seen this getting bulit, but nothing was in it, just the rock or foam wall.
pretty sick |
sweet
That's insane I LOVE IT:
That would be great on stairs or where one room is elevated; with stairs separating. A clam lagoon where you could overlook and and then a sps wall. Thanks Kevin |
Cool idea for a tank.
thats awesome!
if i did it i would have it built with a much longer drop horizontally, and have it in the center of some wide stairs... in my grand foyer.. right behind my ray pond  |
That is right totally sick!!!!! Man alive the creativity of some folks. Once again, a tank which makes me think I'm totally unworthy to even be in the same hobby as some of these folks.
Well now all I've got to do is knock down a part of my place to get the same effect. That really is a nice tank. It seems like just when I think I've figured out my next tank design something new shows up on here.
What a beautiful tank, I would just be happy to have that tank.
Talk about a show tank. |
WoW! It always amazes me some of the tanks people come up with. That one is just awesome.
wow, nice tank, you gotta have pretty long arms to be placing stuff at the bottom of that shelf.
Cool Tank! I like it! :Banane21:
That is just great. Such a nice representation of two different reef areas. Any idea how the tank was constructed? Is that a seam of silicone between the two sections?
A couple people on RC have been throwing this idea around. I initially considered it quite heavily with a lot of input from Jnarowe. Eventually I turfed the idea because of accessibility. I definitely do admit though this tank looks amazing!

Dream big man, dream big ;) I love the idea but do you think it would be possible to avoid the seam in the glass? (just before the drop off) That would make me worry. |
