I introduce to you....
My dog Dexter. He's a two year old Wheaton Terrier and has the most energy of any dog I've ever owned. Apparently he's well behaved for one too. He'll actually do what he's told (sit, lay down, stay, shake, high five) and according to the vet and other wheaton owners I've talked to they don't normally do that. Very stubborn dogs.
Anyways, sometimes, for no apparent reason he decides to get up and tear around the house. These two times we were playing tag, but you'll get an idea: http://s100.photobucket.com/albums/m...t=DSCF1283.flv http://s100.photobucket.com/albums/m...t=DSCF1282.flv |
whoa! look at that boy do the stairs!
yeah, that's something he's done since he was little. He NEVER touches the bottom 4 stairs of any staircase he's ever seen. So if there's only 4 stairs he'll usually clear them.

hes too cool! Does he have any allergy problems? I once had a West highland White.. and she was plagued with allergys. My vet told meit was very common in the WHW's.
No Allergies. He's CKC registered (not that that makes a difference) and both of his parents were champs. He doesn't even really bark, which took some getting used to for me (I used to own two Cane Corsos) The biggest thing with him is that he gets VERY excited (as I'm sure you can tell) when people come to see him.
Oh man ok that was funny, thanks. :) Man I'd pay real money for a fraction of that kind of energy.
When I lived in Bonavista I used to take him for walks in Fish Creek Park. Assuming no one was around I'd let him go off leash. For every 5 steps I took he'd take 50. Run up about 15-20 feet and then back and forth until we got to the bend.
Looks like a solid little pooch too. Talk about being hopped up on goof-balls!
Solid indeed! He's about 45lbs solid muscle.
My friend has an Airdale Terrier, think of your dog with almost twice as much energy and almost twice the size, super friendly dogs but WOW does he have energy.
If I had endless amounts of money, Wheaton's would be fun to breed. The money
would come in handy when I couldn't part with the puppie's. Love these dog's. He is very cute. When I lived in Calgary we had a springer spaniel and she loved fish creek too. Talk about energy. |
I'll see if I can find pictures I took of his first day in Calgary (breeder was in Saskatchewan) He was soooooo dark. Black face almost. We didn't really see him for like 2 weeks. The only reason you could tell we had a dog was there was the occasional mess on the floor and the food was gone from the dish. Then one day he decided that we weren't going to kill him or something and tore around the house to introduce himself.
