rates as harmless?

OMG, Are those for real? I will never take another step into an ocean, lake or bath tub
again. Hope when the end does come we are not surrounded by water. But I will stand
out as I will be the one at the very top of the highest moutain, building or whatever.
The third picture looks sort of humanistic in a creepy kind of way.

Rbacchiega 02-24-2009 04:43 PM

I'm pretty sure that all of the ones that GSP posted, with the exception of the deep sea angler, are photoshoped. Funny though

well i know for a fact that the first (the name escapes me at the moment) and the last (the angler) are indeed real fish. Ive never seen the middle two myself.

GreenSpottedPuffer 02-24-2009 08:51 PM

All I will say is that the second fish was discovered in a lake in Utah a few years back--100% real fish, no photoshopping. There might be one that is shopped but Im not saying ;)

High tide 02-24-2009 08:52 PM

Yeah, the first and the last ones are real, the second one looks mummified, and the third one....???

It is decomposed and basically mummified but also a real fish. Experts think its a decomposed Trout :D Apparently they figure an animal dragged it out of the lake and when it decomposed the teeth became very prominent. I don't know--doesn't look like a decomposed trout to me but they seem to think it may be. Apparently they are kind of stumped though.

The lake it may have come out of also have hundreds of fish dying suddenly a few weeks before they found this thing. I guess they thought the lake had been poisoned.

Then there is this guy. Seen them a bunch of times on the net but always seem so weird to me.

I have a whole folder on my desktop of weird fish :)

hahaha! don't know about that species exactly, but I know that catfish get huge. I used to have a Red Tail that was about 3 feet and weighed around 50lbs.

blue Channel Cats get massive too if I remember correctly...
