yellow tail damsel hatched
hey everyone,
i had cleaned out my frag tray and moved it to another tank. while doing this, i found a clutch of eggs, belonging to the yellow tail damsel pair. this was done, 3 days ago, and tonight they hatched. there are about 50 little guys that look like mysis but have the blue in the, all swimming around. any ideas of what to feed? i dose coral vitilzer every day in there? |
live brine shrimp might be a good start John.
And congrats |
thanks, i will have to try and get me some live foods now.
get some rotifers ... its easier for them to start out... then after a week go with live baby brine shrimp
i used to breed true perks |
i have some rots but they are frozen? maybe give it a try.
just try the frozen rots and then after a week hatch your own brine shrimp it's easy!
yeah you can try frozen... only problem is ... they dont target them as food... they need to bump into them ..... after a few days you should be able to use frozen ... they need to reconize the food moving first :D
yeah i just put a small amount of frozen rottys in there now. i will pick up some brine shrimp, i used to hatch them as food for corals, havent done it in a year.
i have a terrible camera, i flooded it in the summer while diving, so probably no pics.
Oh sad :(
what a man gunna do
Awesome, hope the little guys (gals?) make it
Cograts to the new Daddy! Pretty cool find no chance of that in my tank. I have a
mystery wrasse doubt there is no area in the tank he can't patrol. One day if I can ever catch him he's going to a new home. |
everyone thanks for the help and grats
