Due to the wonderful economic times and my resulting new status as “retired” at 30, I am going to be shutting the tank down for a little while.
I lost about ½ my corals as I left the country for 5 weeks over Christmas. This is what is left and doing well.

Everything in my tank is at least 1.5 years old. Coral must go before Rock and Fish.

Nope, not getting out of the hobby, just taking a break. It's a pretty rough market for project engineers right now so I want to reduce the monthly obligations for the 6-12 months. Also, I may have the opportunity to do some budget travelling and I don't want the stress of the leaving the tank to someone else. I had a pretty huge die off last time I left.

I pray that this whole thing starts to turn around by this time next year, but I'm not so sure anymore.

Hey Dave, thanks so much for everything. You have a beautiful home and lovely wife. The beta is awesome and is not hiding at all. Sadly I don't think I can keep the clams. I have a wrasse and angel fish that cannot be trusted with them. They are in my fuge for now. They are so beautiful I am hoping to catch and rehome the fish.
