600 gal tank, $200, calgary

I thought it was a misprint at first but he (she?) emailed me back and said the footprint is 72 X72- so it is a 600 gal and they want $200. I am not associated with the seller, but only post it here because if anybody needs a HUGE tank the price seems right. It has been a few years since I have been on this board, so if linking to kijiji is not allowed please post below and I will edit out the link.

Wow If I only had a spare house to put it in.

digital-audiophile 02-14-2009 01:06 AM

I'd sure like to see what the tank looks like and what condition it is in. For 200 bucks I'm sure I could find a place in my basement for it :p

MikeP 02-14-2009 01:39 AM

Would make a good pool in my backyard for the kids

Delphinus 02-14-2009 02:28 AM

"Must pickup" What is it, at 72x72, is it the Big Al's shark tank? Holey moley, that'll be some tank.

Big al's shark tank is 12 ft X 10"

That tank would make an awsome tqank for a bamboo shark and some rays....LOL
Maybe the zoo will sell some

karazy 02-14-2009 02:38 AM

you could have 3000 dwarf seahorses

Delphinus 02-14-2009 02:43 AM

Rbacchiega 02-14-2009 03:07 AM

The problem is finding 4 linebackers to carry it.

That'd be amazing to see...

my2rotties 02-14-2009 03:55 AM

We cut our tank apart and took it out of the seller's place piece by piece. I would do it again.

I can bet this is a bad prank on somebody...

someone call and let us know already :)

Wouldn't be the first time...sometimes when people want things gone they just want them gone...a buddy of mine got a 3 year old double size stainless steel fridge freezers in bottom icewater.ice cube and a computer/tv thingy in it for free...he just had to pick it up before their new one arrived. looks funny in his apartment though....

Oh the temptation! So who wants to do some heavy lifting? I pay in adult beverages and puppy kisses.

Leah 02-14-2009 04:03 PM

sounds to good to be true

If that's true and someone still does indeed have this tank we're going to need some pictures! those dimensions would be amazingly awesome to aquascape and equally nightmarish to clean and maintain.

Rbacchiega 02-14-2009 05:39 PM

Catherine, if you buy it there's a good possibility that you'll have an extra roommate (me!)

Seriously though, I'll help setup and everything....I like Kokanee Gold, Jack Daniels (mixed with Cranberry) and everything puppy orientated.

Veng68 02-14-2009 06:07 PM

If you buy it in the summer time....... I may be visiting a friend in Calgary....... I can bring glass suction cups :)

Cheers,
Vic

Skimmerking 02-14-2009 11:11 PM

then I wont be able to keep up with her.. just think of the giga's clams in there 3 1 in the middle and one on each side.... 2 400's on a turn table like chin had. or 2 x 1000 watt MH high enough to brighten all of the tank.. 5500 venture bulb nice and white.. or a 6500 K Iwasaki.....

mark 02-15-2009 12:56 AM

digital-audiophile 02-15-2009 12:59 AM

Any response?

Cheers,

michika 02-17-2009 12:22 AM

I never heard anything back, so no it wasn't me.

Dolf 02-17-2009 06:43 AM

It was almost me... because I am dumb and single (read nobody to keep me grounded and say "no.") All I heard back were the dimensions. That is why I put it here- I figured if it were a joke on somebody the person you emailed would not reply...

Anyhow, instead I decided to remain a little grounded and bought that 180... Wow it's a lot of work to tear down and move. Anyhow, I guess that officially puts me back into the hobby... what is the sig? Something about the next hobby being banging your head off of a wall while tearing up $100 bills?

Rbacchiega 02-17-2009 06:55 AM

That would be Tony's
