I'm looking for a 175W ~ 250W MH pendant for my new cube tank.
Please let me know if anyone has one kicking around.

I just found this site from someone who mentioned it to me on NR. If nothing else, their ideas about being able to connect MH and T5 together is a good one. Not sure what kind of quality these are but they sure are low cost. Some people on NR mentioned that they were happy with the lights and thought the service was good too.

These lights look very nice. I also wonder about the quality tho.

I have a 150 watt version. All in all a decent light. But you do get what you pay for. Wish mine came with the E-ballast though.

What kind of ballast do they come with? Sorry to jack your thread.

mseepman 02-05-2009 09:14 PM

They now appear to come with an e-ballast. I saw on RC that some people who ordered them when they first came out got Mag ballasts.

I've got a 250W DE Hamilton Reefstar pendant for sale. I've been asking $40 for it locally (pendant only no ballast or bulb). I could probably ship it for $10 more. If you're interested I can post some pictures.

I got mine about a year ago no option for e-ballast then only magnetic. Never had any problems with it. My only complain is the CC on the unit itself either the glass for the metal inserts aren't cut straight. Have to fiddle little bit. Just went and looked that the website and it seems the reflectors are now different. Mine is a "hammertone".
