Nice.

thanks

Looks really good. Just wondering what size of tank that is as well as what the vibrant green plant in the center is?
|
the tank is a 33 gallon and the plant in the middle is water sprite
|
Very pretty..used to do planted tanks a few years ago...
|
That is insanely pretty... it almost makes you want to turn ur guppy tanks into living art like that..hmmmm:mrgreen:
|
could use a triming but very nice, good color distribution. Specifics? Are you using CO2? What lights are you using etc...
|
Beautiful! What kind of substrate are you using?

looks great!
i'm in the middle of setting up my first planted tank and you totaly inspired me. im gonna go with the large clump in the middle, medium plants on the sides, and small foreground plants. exept im gonna do it with java ferns, crypts, and anubias. thnx for the inspiration  |
looks good same setup as my 33 planted

those are some nice low light plants to start off with. When you start getting into foreground plants they usually require more light and a carbon source good luck with your tank:biggrin: |
i like to think of smaller anubias as foreground plants :p

Hmm I think I see some Rotala spp. (the olive-toned small leafed stem plant on the far left hand side?). Nice, never had any manner of luck with it myself, I eventually started collecting Cryptocoryne
|
Any other suppliments? I started using Seachems planted line and BLEZAH! Growth and colour like you couldn't imagine. I'm trimming my 4ft discus tank every 2nd week....and I'm not using CO2

I would avoid excel. Even though I'd consider my tank "heavily planted", my jungle val was melting...so I tossed that idea, but I'm a big fan of the iron suppliment as I have alot of high-iron plants. It'd do your ratalla well...
|
 Yeah it doesn't surprise me your Rotala is doing well, you supplement CO2 and I never did. I also used tapwater to top off and water change, which is generally bad... but I never had algae problems, and everything else I tried grew well save a couple of Echinodorus boliviana that lost the tissue between the leaf veins within days of being planted. Strange, and never had it happen to any other plants I tried. Mind you, I never did try Echinodorus again
