wow.
I really hope someone with a bigger system takes this off of you. Good luck with your sale. |
what is that supposed to mean
|
no a thing.
I just know at least a couple of those fish would love a bigger system. I had a yellow tang in my 72 (got him in a tank tear down I bought) and I sold him to someone with a bigger system as he was obviously stressed in my little tank. Not to say they were/are unhappy in yours, but it's a no brainer that the tang and dragon goby in particular will be happy to have some more room. |
thsees fish are from my 90 gal and my 65 gallon tear down
there what i have left from what i sold and had no where to put them because im selling all my other stuff and wanting to sell every thing together |
I just saw that you were selling a 30 gallon system with these fish and saw you were looking for a new system so 2+2 =?
how active is that dragon goby? what tank did you have him in? aggressive? super cool looking fish, but he looks mean. |
ya im trying to look for a permenant tank i seem to every time i setup a tank i wanna go bigger it strted with a 65 and then i bought a 90 gallon and got this free 30 gallon and then tore evrything down now i wanna go for a 200 gallon so im saving up some money first i had the yellow tang 4 clown fish a blue hippo tang the puffer and the goby together in my 90 gallon he isnt agrresive at all he just digs hole and and sits and watches all day and eats sand and spits it out
|
did oyu have any shrimp or smaller crustaceans in your tank?
I'm looking for a cool bottom dweller that will fit into my uber peaceful system,. |
nope i sold my shrimp all i have is some hermit crabs and snails
and r u looking to sell your nano reef? |
the 5.5?
In all honesty, you could set one up like mine for under 100$ Mine cost me less than 50$, but I had lr and sand already.... |
i saw the dragon goby... it's wicked! pretty active... and wasn't aggresive towards any of the other tank mates!
|
try a pearly jawfish. i had one with loads of inverts and other fish and was totally dosile. sooo much fun to watch. i called mine dozer, because he was always working.

Will never buy a jawfish again. also, my tank is open top, so risky to have one of these documented carpet surfers in there anyways... what I'd really love os a blue spot, but considering my luck with the chapefr variety, I cant bring myself to try my luck with one. Dragon goby could be a good alternative though. |
i have alot of extra live sand and salt how did u set it up for around 50
i thought it was the nano reefs with evrything built in |
Nope, very simple set up.
Just a regular 5.5, with an 18w Coralife 50/50 cf light (cost me 30$) and a rio skilter which cost me (20$)... I made a drip, as evap was pretty bad, by just putting a 2L coke bottle with a couple of tubes drilled into the lid (one for siphon and one with a ball valve for the dripping) in a cupboard above/behind it to keep salinity and water level in check. added a dsb and some chaeto and a tiny powerhead I had from an old freshwater filter and now I have a nice little system for about 50 bucks, not including the tank (which might run you about 20-30$). |
