As Per Lydia...

Tattoos....
Who's got em, how many? What are the plans for future ones etc.

I currently have *thinks* 19. My favorite are my sleeve (in progress) which is Johnny Cash Themed. The giant cricket I have on my ankle/foot, my polynesian wristlet thinger done by Tatau and eventually I"m sure my portrait of Roy Orbison (going on shin..ouch) done by Bob Tyrrell will be up there too

Der_Iron_Chef 12-31-2008 10:25 PM

5 :)

Plans for more. Many more. I didn't believe when people said that they're addictive.

My dad was the first person other than myself that I tattooed. He got a tribal stalions head 5 years ago. Now I'm in the process of drawing his sleeve LOL

Aquattro 12-31-2008 11:35 PM

Hell, I may be able to travel to the Island..... BUT, if the pub tour was coming to the BC interior......You all better make it for when I am NOT working in the NWT :D

Keri 01-01-2009 06:52 AM

I have two, a pair of koi around my navel which I like and a whooping crane that I got when I was 16 that I want to get redone (I was 16, the design I brought in was NOTHING like what I walked out with even after agreeing to go as big as needed to get the details, 16 year old pushover that I was lol...)

Lydia 01-01-2009 07:06 AM

Too funny - I go out for a few hours, and then see this thread ;)

I have a daisy I got when I was 2 weeks shy of 20 that a bikini bottom will hide, and a black feather over my heart on my 40th birthday. I bought tats for my daughters when they turned 18. My hubby and son say they'll never get one ;)

Happy New Year, everyone!

my2rotties 01-01-2009 07:29 AM

I have three.

The most important one is my Rottweiler tribute tattoo on my right shoulder. It is an angel rottie... I have an angel on my shoulder

The other is a purple orchid on my left boob. The last is an old exotic bird I need to get covered over. I have been itching for a few more, but the aquarium is taking every penny I have to buy anything.

Rbacchiega 01-01-2009 08:40 AM

Alright, so who's up for a trip to Brandon/Winterpeg in the up comming months? I figure because Doug is (and from what he says always will remain) a tattoo virgin..he should be able to host first....I think.

Geeze, last time I was in Brandon I spent the night in a barn...literally. Car broke down and this cool farm family had a spare room in their barn they let me stay in until the car was fixed. I heart Brandon

Oh ya I have a canada flag on my left calf that i have always wanted so when Im in the States that people see me as a canadian.

Snaz 01-01-2009 04:40 PM

This thread is useless without pics. Let's see those tats!

Rbacchiega 01-01-2009 06:42 PM

Ask and Ye Shall Recieve...

My Friend Teika (who is also a tattoo artist) is then one who's doing my sleeve. I went to her with my favroite Johnny Cash songs and my favorite lines from those songs and this is what she came up with....

The day after 4 hours of shading (8 hours total):
http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m.../tattoo078.jpg

My 1951 Merc for the song "I Never Picked Cotton" with the Lyrics "And it was fast cars and whiskey...."
http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m.../tattoo081.jpg

Ghost Riders In The Sky ... "On horses snortin' fire, as they ride on hear their cry"
http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m.../tattoo080.jpg

These roses will eventually be shaded to look like black roses (For songs like "one rose left in my heart, give my love to rose" etc). The guitar is one of his first guitars.

The tattoo on my foot:

My Cricket...also done by Teika:

dsaundry 01-01-2009 07:22 PM

One larger style one on my left chest that I got years ago when I played ball.
I have been thinking about a sleeve for my right arm to cover some old scars though...

Rbacchiega 01-01-2009 09:43 PM

How old are the scars and what are they from if you don't mind me asking. Alot of artists won't tattoo over new scars because the skin is still healing and shifting. Having said that, I tattooed a zipper over a guys scar on his chest when they had to crack him open....probably one of my favorite tattoos I've ever done

Ian 01-02-2009 01:49 AM

I have 4 family crest on right calf asian pheonix on left calf, and a mirrored pair on my shoulder blades. Bears on left and wolves on right. Spent a summer working with wolves which was very cool and my wife was badly mauled by bear so loads of meaning.
pictures will be added when I get some new good ones

G1GY 01-02-2009 03:56 AM

Why would anyone put a permanent mark on their body? I just don't get it, someone explain this to me.

Wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be, and I love my Canadian barbell bellybutton ring. Getting needles from the Doctor doesn't bug me but for some reason a little tattoo needle scares me.

All your ink looks fine but I particularly like the cricket. Very nifty.

Rbacchiega 01-03-2009 05:21 PM

Thanks Snaz. That one was because I lost a bet..this guy came into the shop and reaked of mouthwash. He was all like "I want a sleeve of demons so evil their RAGING!" I told him it'd be $1500 not thinking he'd come back. When he left I said, "if that guy shows up Teika can tattoo a giant cricket on my foot" (inside joke)....and you can see the end result

Mrfish55 01-06-2009 06:22 AM

No ink on my body but mrsfish has this one
