Zoos, $200 a polyp

on eBay

free shipping so guess not that bad

reeferious 12-17-2008 03:52 AM

200 dollar zoos

well i'm placing bid on it if my lotto numbers come up bang on

rocketlily 12-17-2008 03:54 AM

Well, free shipping. That really does entice a person.

Matt 12-17-2008 03:54 AM

That's an expensive zoa frag, no doubt. However, the seller shows a 9-polyp frag and is keeping one, so it is really 8. Take 3 for yourself, and resell the five-polyp frag for 1k. Free zoas! Now that's a price you can live with. I assume, with this new information, you're going to snap it up?

Ryan_Lap 12-17-2008 04:07 AM

Im just disappointed he wont ship to Canada. Damn!

Trigger Man 12-17-2008 04:14 AM

So does this could as stuff the US gets that we in Canada don't?

fishytime 12-17-2008 04:20 AM

then I'll have to come down and sneak some of the colony away to Chestermere, of course I'll also see something in your tank that I want and buy a frag of it as well.

Ryan_Lap 12-17-2008 04:36 AM

damn damn damn nice, but with my luck they'd probably melt in a day or so.

Patrice 12-17-2008 04:54 AM

Ho Crap! Yes that's a nice one but $1000 is lot of money

lorenz0 12-17-2008 04:58 AM

thats a little extreme for me. plus i have a feeling they just aren't worth that type of cash in person

Patrice 12-17-2008 05:15 AM

I think there is many nice polyps we can get for much cheaper. But if I had that kind of money to throw away, why not!

karazy 12-17-2008 09:56 PM

i say its worth it.they are the best zoas out there IMO

EDIT: haha, changed my mind. just found this http://cgi.ebay.com/Live-Coral-PURP...parms=72%3A1205

still, i love them. i hope the price goes down by the time im ready for some

HMMMMMMMMMM

For that price, do they come out of the water and give you a foot massage??

my2rotties 12-18-2008 09:13 PM

Why are they so expensive exactly? They are nice, but I don't understand the expense. I'm a newbie so forgive the ignorance.

Everything has a cost. When the species is rare and people really wants it, the seller can ask more for it. That's how it is for cars, arts, everything.

I would not pay that much for that coral but I can understand why some would do. I use to collect rare freshwater moss and paid the big $ to get some species. Some were freaking awesome, some were just like any other. My wife got mad at me when I told here how much I was paying to get a gram of those plants from singapour. She also got really mad at me when I told here that 80% of those moss were cut at custom.
All that for a moss collection in peanut butter jars by the window.
