Lance 12-03-2008 03:54 AM

He's a walking frag factory.

karazy 12-03-2008 03:56 AM

you should put him in different colors of zoas depending on the holiday or season

hillbillyreefer 12-03-2008 04:11 AM

Gotta love 'em though. As big a pain as they are urchins are still one of my favorite critters.

rocketlily 12-03-2008 04:12 AM

This is what I would call a friendly tank. Everyone living and playing together.

I recently saw a tuxedo urchin in one of the tanks out at OA and he was carrying a thermometer around on its back.

These guys can be very entertaining.

Hey...... he is doing some fragging for me:lol:

Diana 12-03-2008 04:41 AM

Gotta love the random assortment of stuff they pick up. I think mine prefers the suction cup top hat, though.

I thought I would bump this thread up.....I have a new urchin to be "freakin" about.....the tuxedo that I pictured before was into "Levis"........my new multicolor urchin has a slightly more expensive taste.....more like "Gucci" or "Prada".......sometimes I wonder why I keep adding these things to my tank.....then I remember what algae eating machines these critters are...

Prada hats are all the rage ya know

jostafew 10-29-2011 03:15 AM

I hear ya, my pin cushion urchin took an entire frag plug (with frag!) out of the frag rack and took it for a ride around my tank for a couple days! Worth it though, the urchins are very cool.

reefwars 10-29-2011 03:41 AM

he def likes the nice stuff eh lol mine is completely full of rubble he hasnt got any room to spare lol my last one i would stick a thermometer to and he was my mobile temp monitor lol:)

globaldesigns 10-29-2011 04:37 AM

christyf5 10-29-2011 08:34 PM

LOL!! Lets hope he doesn't drop off that one at the back of the tank  (mine used to do that only to my most expensive zoos).

fishytime 02-08-2012 03:53 AM

it doesnt looks like a urchin lol , it seems like a vacuum for a fish tank :D

Aquattro 02-08-2012 04:03 AM

I should have got a pic, but mine had a cleaner shrimp stuck to him. More a result of the tank draining, but after filling, the urchin was cruising around with the shrimp stuck to him....

SteveConn 02-08-2012 04:16 AM

They are such little $h!T$
