ATTN VENDORS: anyone sell these?

They don't ship to Canada...

Looks similar to a common halogen pendant which can be purchased at most hardware stores for around the same price. It's a common DIY part for 70 & 150W halides.

They sell MH pendants all over the place like J&L and OA just to name a few.

It may be the price that makes these lights so particularily appealing ;)

Thanks for the replies!

I've looked all over the place...JL, OA, hardware stores etc. I can't find a fixture with these dimensions anywhere. I have a very small space to squeeze them into.

I'll definitely pursue the EBAY link, Thanks!!

I see your in Kelowna...

If needed, have them shipped to Oroville thru Betta's Services (http://www.bettasservices.com/) you'll pay a low fee for them to hold it for you and it is only about a 2 hour drive, now that the highway is open up.

Not sure if it's worth it for a $40 reflector, but shipping to canada + duty fee's are a lot more expensive then picking it up yourself.

I did this for my Dart, Skimmer, Sand, Mag Pumps, RODI and a few other misc things when I placed a large order. I saved hundreds in extra shipping and duty fees.

Hi phillybean,

Thanks for the message. I've used Betta in the past, quite the character. I am considering doing this but figured if there was someone that had them in Canada i could save myself a lot of time, considering they're not a very expensive item.

It's not really the low price that has me wanting these. It's just the dimensions that will work for my application. It's surprisingly hard to find low profile MH fixtures. I'm sure there's a reason for it, as in the bigger the more reflection.

$39.95 is cheap but I'll still need ballast and bulb so one can probably add about $200+.

In case anyone is wondering what i'm trying to squeeze these into? 28" diameter canopy over a cylindrical tank. The tank sits in the middle of the room so hanging something from the roof isn't an option, besides the fact it would completely ruin the asthetics of the tank.

how much room you got?

I wanted a low profile on my hood so went with PFO min-pendants (12x7.5x4.5"H) mounted inside and the Reef Optix3 aren't that big either 11x9x4"h.

btw I e-mailed PFO for minimum height above water and said 5", also considered Hamilton's Reefstar (3.5" high) but they said their clearance was 8".

also having a factory pendant sticking partly through the top (can't find pictures) or even just on top can look okay (see Niloc16's here)

I have 8" from the hood to the water and 4" from the hood to the removable tank cover.

Baring finding any solution I could get a new canopy made but that's not as easy as it sounds being that it's round.
