well my inbox keeps telling me i have a new one, but when i click to check there is nothing new there?

Are you getting the email notifications of the PM's? They will contain the message text and name of the sender.

Not sure what else to suggest - at least with the notifications you'd know if there was a new PM or not.

So what's happening, it says you have an unread message but when you go to your inbox, you don't have any unread? Have you tried sending yourself a message to see if the unread count goes up by 1?

I'll see if I can reset the counter from the admin panel but I'm not sure I can. I'll post back after I go look.

Doesn't look like. Sorry.. Only other thing I can think of offhand to reset that sort of thing is delete all your PM's and start over from zero. You should be able download your current messages into a text file or Excel spreadsheet format if you need to keep any of your messages for any reason.
