Some of the colour difference in the last 2 pics is because the top one was taken under vho's only and the bottom one had metal halides as well

yeeg 09-12-2008 03:26 AM

Zoaelite 09-12-2008 03:34 AM

Wow

Its something about Gregs Stylo, your experiencing the same crazy growth as I am! Well good coral from a good tank results in good results eh .

Hard to measure, some have just been encrusting and bulking up, others have sprouted lots of branches.

It's just been the last 3 weeks that growth has been really ramping up

Chowder 09-12-2008 03:48 AM

Marie the growth rate of your SPS in your tank always amazes me.

Ditto. I can't believe you're getting that kind of growth from a stylophora. Mine has grown about 1/2" and I've had it almost 2 years!!

marie 09-12-2008 04:08 AM

What can I say, if I don't kill them they grow

I'm just glad I'm not killing them anymore

Damn you Marie!!! Here I was thinking the growth of Greg's corals in my tank was good. I'm in Calgary right now and I can't even go to Greg's to get some more, He's out of town. Went to Big Al's yesterday and Gold's but they are closed on Thursdays. D'oh Checking out Red Coral today.

 I almost got talked into buying more frags from Snappy but was told you 2 couldn't meet up this trip out, it's probably just as well

Yes, we couldn't get together as he had a business trip. I did however get to Red Coral and managed to spend a bunch of money. Got some really nice SPS colonies, a very nice Fox Coral (I've been looking for months for one), and a couple of Ricordea frags. I met Kevin and Michelle (Underwater); who were very nice. I like your store Kevin.
Got home last night, and all the new coralsare looking well this morning. Will post some pics in about a week when they've fully acclimated. Thanks again Marie for being on emergency alert, I really appreciate it. (Thankfully, you weren't needed. After all the tank crashes lately I was a little freaked leaving my tanks with a rookie). I brought something home for you and will bring it by in a few days.

marie 09-14-2008 05:12 AM

If only all "emegency alert" jobs were this easy .

Molly on the other hand, regaled us with the full range of her vocal repetoire

HeHe. She's got a pretty good set of vocal chords all right. Amazing how such a little dog can have such a "BIG" voice. I was going to go pick her up and when she was brought out I was going to say: "I'm sorry, that's not our dog, we don't own a Beagle, we have a very, well-trained, quiet Basenji."

I am glad the frags are doing well for you. I think once the super grape kicks it will be a nice showpiece. Thanks for the update.

:biggrin:Christy the difference is Marie's stylo is from Coral Master. That rainbow is the fastest growing stylo I've ever come across. Let me know when you're ready for some.

Marie that stylo is really smartening up with the new lights, lookin' great. I think everything else will start showing some nice colour as well.
