Thanks Tom, I figured since I was doing such a good job of raising majanos and aiptasia I should try my hand at more challenging anemones  .

Now if only I could find a red, blue or purple carpet nem

PoonTang 09-10-2008 03:10 AM

Very nice! One day I will try my hand at a nem but right now I'm trying to get my SPS collection started.

Delphinus 09-10-2008 04:55 AM

Oooh, purdy. :)

Keri 09-10-2008 06:00 AM

Very nice! Is the RBTA new?

marie 09-10-2008 06:14 AM

I've had it 10 days now, it only decided to come out from behind the rocks a couple of days ago. I think it found my lights too bright

Oscar 09-10-2008 08:14 AM

Great photos. What size tank are they in?

marie 09-10-2008 02:29 PM

They're in a 48x18x18, 65g tank

Delphinus 09-10-2008 03:54 PM

Just curious, what lighting do you have over that tank?

justinl 09-10-2008 04:24 PM

wow purdy! I really like that first tube anemone. Curious, I always thought they were true anemones... are they not technically classified in the same place as true anemones?

edit: nevermind, I answered my own question. They are in class Hexacorallia rather than Anthozoa.

I have 2 175w 15k iwasakis

marie 11-08-2008 02:28 AM

Another new addition, it's a purple tube anemone. I'm going to have to rearrange the rocks to make more room for these guys

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...anemone059.jpg

He's in training at the moment, he arrived without a tube so the rock is pinning him down until he builds himself a new tube

Chaloupa 11-08-2008 03:00 AM

Hey Marie...didn't OceanicCorals get in a red carpet anemone???? You could add that to your gorgeous collection!
