What qualifies a nano tank?

As the title says; At what size does a small tank stop being a nano? 25? 30? 35? 40? etc?

thanks,

Danny

I always thought anything under 20 gallons was a nano but sometimes its anything under 30. Depends on what group you want to be associated with, the "cool nano peeps" or the "big guys"

My new tank is a 24" cube, which looks tiny in comparison to me last tank. It works out to 52 gallons.....not a nano I guess.

i consider my 29g biocube a nano just cause its by far the smallest tank i have

personaly i think anything bigger than 36 inches long is not a nano

I think anything under the size of an ocean is 'Nano' LOL

30 and under seems to be nano, however I consider my 33g a nano, although my 40g doesn't seem to possess that same title.

had thought a nano was less than a 20g, with a 20g being a small tank or if really wanting to push it, a large (largest) nano.

went over to Nano-reef.com to see how they define themselves:

Nano Reef

A small reef aquarium, generally 20 gallons or less. Also known as nanoreef or nano-reef.

^^ And yet over on NR there are sooo many people starting up 40Br tanks..

Must be a "Nano" thing, cuz I don't see many other non-nano reef forums with many 40Br builds...
