Where is Hidden reef at
 

Well i tried looking up Mike on Hidden reef and cant find him. Its getting close to getting home from Afghanistan and i told him that i would be putting in a order for some LIVE Rock.

Has he called it quits or what. if any one knows him or the where about can you pm me to let me know he has some stellar rock that i want to get from him.

Why don't you order from a vendor who is easier to locate???

I called Hidden Reef today...they seemed dazed and confused when I asked them about T5HO bulbs. I didn't end up ordering anything, especially after I asked for what choices they had in 39w Actinic and the person asked me what that was.

I've had the same happen to me.

the reason is the prices for rock are crazy here esp for
jarkta rock that is the rock im looking for and the price that i was getting from Mike there with shipping was to good to turn down.....

i go there about once a week mike is never there anymore he is too busy paying bills seems as though not many people support the small lfs everyone drives out to the big stores which have more on display. hidden reef will do their best to find what you are looking for. pm me if you want me to leave mike a message though.

Mike is usually only there early in the morning, he has taken on two jobs to try to keep up on the bills. He is still open and doing his best. You will find the best times to get him are on weekends at 9-10 am. I wish him all the best...it is tough to be an independant owner and deal with some of the staff issues he has gone through....

Mikes a great guy, I have never bought anything from him and not gotten an awesome deal. probably part of the reason things are the way they are. We gotta support the little shops. You wont get deals at other places -- not naming names, and when you ask mike or his staff something, they dont answer with resentment and a look of "why are you even in this store if you cant remember the name of every wrasse that ever existed"! Come on people-- there were 400 people there when he has a huge sale, how about the rest of the time!

On a totally unrated note........ I was watching the news and someone got shot & killed in the mall the Hidden Reef is in.

25 year old victim who is known to police. They think it was a targeted hit.

Well if any body is out in that area can you check on Live rock for me to see if he has any at all in his store. Im looking for some Jarkta rock.... if so can you can you let Mike know if he has any i would like to get some........

I stopped by Hidden reef today and they were closed! looked like the shelves are pretty bare too :-(
anyone know what is going on? I love giving Mike my business...he's a good guy.

Hidden Reef is closed up. Its all done in the business world.
I feel sorry for Mike but I still have to try to get my tank and stand out of him....probably gone:sad:

Sorry to hear that. I don't get a chance to go out there as often as I'd like but my experiences had been positive. One example was when I wanted to buy a Cherub Pygmy angel from their display tank and he took the time to fish it out for me. I didn't expect that at all. A lot of places won't sell things from their display tanks especially if it requires catching a fish from it.

Good luck getting anything, I was suppose to get my custom 340g tank and I'm out of luck and out of $2800

Hope you guys purchased with your credit cards! I'd give them a call ASAP to start a dispute.
