Any idea what this is?
 

Sorry for the bad picture, and the coral is in pretty rough shape. This was just shipped in yesterday.

Its about as big as a plate and has one big center mouth, and a new one starting off to the right hand side. Its reminds me of a giant blasto polyp. Once it looks better maybe it will be easier to ID. But for now.. ??

Scolymia vitiensis? Pg 132 of Sprung's reference guide. Looks similar.

I will second the vote for Scolymia vitiensis aka Donut Coral, but the ridges of the skeleton are really close together, so maybe not.

I have a few scollys and they dont look like this much. My scollys ribs are farthur apart and are more arching. Also this seems to be cloning off to the sides.. which I WISH my aussie scollys would do:mrgreen:

If it IS a scolly.. once it puffs up its never going to fit in my tank.. it must be 8" in diameter.

Chip that baby off, and send it to me! I will be able to do a better identification that way. ;)

Ohh that babys coming off as soon as the coral gets settled. There are two more starting to form on the other side.

Let me know when you want to sell it...I like it. You know, I've seen this coral before too, and I just can't place it.

Based on size aand shape Scolymia vitiensis seems the most likely candidate. You would expect Australomussa to have more than one center in a specimen that size but I did see one about 6 months ago that didn't so you could be right. It is almost impossible to tell these two apart.
