Group buy for aptasia eating nudi's from coralscaping.com
Anyone in the Vancouver area that might be interested in a group buy for some burghia nudis LMK.Im going to be placing an order for these.I dont have a lot of aptasia but dont like the ones I have. These are supposed to be a fool proof way of getting rid of them and every other thing Ive tried has made them spread around.if anyone wants to get in on this PM me and hopefully we can get this done by monday maybe tuesday. Thanks Clint

Don't waste your money they are expensive and so small that it'll make you laugh.
|
The apatasia I have isnt all that big just everywhere.Im gonna give it a try.Every thing Ive read said that they eat them and the biggest problem is they erradicate them and die off due to lack of food since aptasia is the only thing they eat.I am prepared to take the chance since size shouldn't matter.LOL.Thanks for the heads up though.Clint

im game
i have 3 tanks that ive seen a few small aptasia in so ill take 3 why not

Regarding these little critters, If you have a tank with a lot of flow and intakes you would be better off with small peppermint shrimp. Mine worked like a hot darn...Nudi's are very prone to getting sucked up intakes..imo:biggrin:

I tried peppermints and didnt have any luck. They were great at taking any and all food I tried to feed to my corals though.LOL.Thanks for the tip though.Clint

I have placed an order for these for myself and a couple people. It will be free shipping and anyone else is welcome to get some until monday. They will ship out on Tuesday for Wednesday pickup.Clint

Bump to find out how the nudis worked out.
I currently have a problem with Aptasia. |
nudies.
I was in on a group buy from coralscaping about 4 months ago (bought 3 for a 30 gallon shallow bare bottom tank w/ no known predators). The nudies didn't touch any aptasia at all. They avoided it whenever possible. I watched them on a totally aptasia infested rock many times. They vanished into the rock work eventually. Never seen them again after a few weeks.
Im interested to see how they worked out for others also. Didn't work for me. |
aptasia
dsaudry is right. Peppermints are way better. It's reef safe and its a decorative shrimp. Go for those instead. Thats my advice.
