180g round two
Well after a long battle with Dinos for over 5 months, and losing approx 80% of my live goods I was almost ready to give up, finally I broke down the tank and put most of the rock in contanors to cook in the dark, the rest of my livestock ( whats left )transfered in to a 55g and a 70g, I fiqured to start over completely, so I purchaced a new aga dual overflow 180 6x2x2 and make a new stand and cap, what a good time to start a build thread, so off to the lumber store.http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/n...nkbuild003.jpg[IMG][/IMG]

Woohoo! Thats one way of showing those dinos whos boss!!
I'm glad it didn't make you leave the hobby completely.
after reading post after post about painting the back white, blue, black, pink or every other color I have seen I choose oxford blue

one thing about Dinos is it the BEST cure for red bugs I have seen, guaranteed gone, 100%
Hopefully things work out for you this time around. The stand looks great, by the way. Good luck on your build!
PS: What's that new SW LFS in CR like? The Dragon's Lair (or something like that) I hear their ad on the radio all the time. |
AND dino's get rid of acro eating flatworms and, and, and!!!
the dragons liar is trying hard, they just got a shipment of 40 boxs of carb sea base rock that has been on order for 6 months, there live stock really varies from time to time, nice people to deal with thou
I'll have to check them out some time. I don't get over to CR as much anymore though. I like the blue you picked for the back, looks good. I have a paler blue on my 90 which I like, but I think I like yours a little better. Is that tank 72x24x24. If so, do you mind if I ask what brand it is and where you got it from. I'm currently in the process of planning a 180 or 220 build.
yes its a 72x24x24 AGA ( all glass aquariums ) I got from J&l's
ok been a little behind on posting on this tread, also been behind on this project, so it is sorta complete

Mmmmmmm all shiny and new. Looks good. Got all the bells and whistles too.
I wish my tank went from empty to full that fast LOL
That looks fantastic!!!! Cabinetry looks amazing! You do nice work!
*delete*
What kind of lighting are you using?
two sets of sunlight t5 tek 80w and 3 diy 250w mh will try to get a pic of the lights
nice build I wish my cabinetry skills were as good as yours....
I'll have to steal some ideas for my next build. Are the 250 Hqi? |
Really nice build... Love the aquascaping, reminds me of mine sorta. I'm kinda wishing I had put my CL intake in the back glass like you. Your plumbing and sump looks great, maybe I missed it, but is that a Dart for the CL?
Can't wait to see you start stocking this thing. |
was trying to do the lay out without any power heads so I drilled the tank and plumbed in a dart for a closed loop, just trying to finnish the rock work, as it is all pinned together with acrilic rod so I can put an end to rock slides
