Our 'Planet Oz' Reef Tank : )
This is our reef display we set-up at the Telus World of Science for a 3 month long exhibition called Planet Oz - Walk on the Wild Side, showcasing Australias variety of wildlife and human culture.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...nce_world1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...nce_world2.jpg This 90 gallon reef contains 7 Lyretail Anthias, 15 Green Chromis, 2 Ocellaris Clownfish, 2 Pink Skunk Clownfish, red and blue starfish, cleaner shrimp, snails and corals. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...nce_world5.jpg The banner showcases the inhabitants along with some info about them. Some 250000 people seen this display during the 3 month exhibit's duration. Aquatic Escapes sponsored the set-up and maintenance of the aquarium. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...nce_world3.jpg The aquarium was a huge hit with the kids who named all the inhabitants by their 'Finding Nemo' names rather than the usual ones... : ) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...nce_world7.jpg Hope you liked, Diana and Raf :) |
Very cool, I'm sure there are people setting up new tanks after seeing this!
|
Good Deal! Interested kids of today are tomorrow's reefers.

Great presentation Diana.
The tank looks fantastic. I think the kids have a greater appreciation for this stuff than their parents. Kids love anything to do with nature. Tom R |
That's really neat. Did you approach them with the idea for the tank or did they come to you?
|
Wow!
When can you and Raf set-up an identical one in my basement? LOL! |
hehehe :D
Tony, they approached us after finding our name through the LFS. We had 2 weeks notice :D |
