Michika's Food - Okanagan - HAS ARRIVED - Pls call asap
 

We're trying to get a little group order going here so Catherine (Michika) can send us some of her homemade food which looks awesome! We're thinking she would ship it via Greyhound to one address, and then we can all pick it up from there. We will split shipping, and your portion of the shipping will depend on how many bags you order. Here's a link to her thread for ingredients/price/etc:

So post up here if you will purchase a bag(s), and how many you want. Each bag has 1 cup in it, and is $10 plus your portion of shipping.

Cut-off for orders will be Thursday May 29.

We need a few more people to get this going I would think. The more bags there are the less risk of the food getting too warm during shipping.

Any idea how long this stuff will keep in a deep freeze w/o getting freezer burnt?

In a single bag, I've been okay for up to 2 months, bags don't stay around that much longer, I use it too fast. Just make sure you press as much air of the bags every time. If you get two bags, you can try double bagging the one your not using.

I think the fish would rather your food Catherine even if it is freezer burnt compared to the LFS food. My fish love it, and seem very healthy.

That is great to know! I'm so happy to hear that so many people are pleased with the mix.

What I do is double freezer bag frozen foods. Then I only break off a portion I will use in a couple weeks. I separate that portion into its own single freezer bag. I find the food lasts a long time this way. :)

So how are we going to do this...each pay Michika individually or one person pays and we pay them for our product and our share of the shipping cost?

It doesn't matter to me. Shipping will be C.O.D. probably via greyhound.

I think we will each pay Michika, as I don't want to be stuck with 3 bags of food that people decide they don't want to pick up or pay for. ;) Then when you guys come to pick up your bag of food you can pay your portion of the shipping.

We need some more people ordering so that we can lower our shipping costs per person. :)

What works for you Michika regarding payment method ? Are you set up with paypal ?

No payments received today, so unless they arrive in the next 3 or 4 hours, I cannot ship out today.
