My those two are quite prolific aren't they??

Just throw in some ham and you've got breakfast :p

Ugh - but it does kind of remind a person of itty-bitty caviar??

At least they're a happy pair, and finding things to keep busy with.

So cool :!: Are most clown fish eggs green? Our 2 clarkii haven't made us grandparents yet :(

EmilyB 03-12-2003 09:00 PM

They are just practising now, :P I believe this is their first spawn.

I am used to seeing orange ocellaris eggs, but apparently early spawns can be green.

hey aj the clowns are good they seem a bit shy but i imagine that will go away
also what does it take to breed clowns ? any thing special or they just do it when ever

Actually, looking at the pic in Wilkersons book of ripening eggs, they look green too..... :? As I say, I don't know when these were laid.

This pic taken tonite is large, so I will just post the link. Make sure you click to resize and view it at highest resolution.

Well, the big 4 on the difficulty chart and all.....oh what the heck...

I think the hatch is close and we have removed the rock...

smokinreefer 03-14-2003 07:00 AM

i think the eggs may be almost ready, or atleast not recently laid.
when my maroons breed, the eggs are red at first. as they develop they lose the red and get kinda green/translucent...to the point you can see little bodies and eyes.
