Hey, I'm just wondering if anyone would be interested in a Bulk reef supply order? I wouldn't mind getting a few things off their site and I thought I would put out the inquiry if anyone else was interested.

I want to pick up some GFO...if any of you guys want some too, then we could split a bigger tub of it...?

That's the main thing that I would be looking for as well. I would probably also get some Carbon.

GFO, carbon, a refillable DI resin cartridge and some DI resin is what I am interested in.

^ Which GFO do you want? I'd like to try the HC because I'm lazy about changing it out. :lol:

At first I thought me too...but for double the price...I could probably live with regular pellets.

I wonder if it has 2x the capacity? Maybe more? Maybe less? I wonder which is a better buy...

I'm pretty sure it's the weight of the GFO that determines it's absorbing capacity, not the volume. So I think the HC is really only 1 lb more expensive. I'll email and ask them.

So from that, it would take 16lbs of the GFO to equal the absorbing capacity of 8lbs of the HC GFO. In that case, it costs less shipping to buy the HC GFO, and makes the HC GFO a much better buy from all perspectives.

So what do you guys say? Go for the HC? :D

Hehehe!! Well ok, I'm in for about $50-60 of the HC GFO then...depending on who else buys it, how much we get for our buck will vary. I want to try out some of their Eco Rox too.

I'll take $40-50 of the HC GFO as well....what about the carbon now?

I'm interested in the 1.25 Pounds Premium ROX 0.8 Carbon as well.

Note that Chris at Interior reef says that he has some High capacity carbon in stock for a very good price, so you might want to check into that to save yourself some shipping.

I've started using it, but I've been cautious about how much to use and I think so far that I'm using too little to have the impact I wanted.

I reccommend this to ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, but I on the other hand just dumped 3" of the HC GFO into the bottom of my PhosBan Reactor on my 33g tank. So if that doesn't rip the phosphates out I don't know what will! :lol:
