Thanks.

I've had the orange, green and purple caps for about 4-5 years now, and the tan cap for about 2. they all get trimmed every 6 months so that they don't over grow the tank.

Time to post my first pic, I'm proud of this tank, but it still has a long way to go to match some of yours. It's been up for around a year now.Attachment 2220

Shouldn't there be a 2008 tank shot thread started?

christyf5 03-30-2008 05:41 AM

done, moved all the ones from the beginning of the year to this new thread

cprowler 03-30-2008 06:32 AM

It's not that recent and I'm not happy with it, but it is from 08, I'll try and get a better shot before too long.

Tony I couldn't see the pictures until I quoted their link in this post. Lookin good. When is the "big one" going to be ready?

Canuckgod420 04-14-2008 07:30 AM

This is my first posting.

Delphinus 04-14-2008 07:35 AM

Sorry I did them as attachments instead of uploading to a photoshare. Thought it might be easier but I guess it's not foolproof. For whatever reason I can see them fine.

I'm hoping the 280g will be wet within a month. At least, I'm hoping to buy the rock this month, that should shame me into getting it done. :) I would hope!!

Tony, dont know if you have any clown in there, but i can imagine that magnifica with a dozen of clownfish in there, it would be insane! :D

Are your rabbitfish eating all your algea problem? I have a grape caulerpa algea and wondering if they would eat it... tried foxface and few tangs, none are interested.

There is a lot of serious beautiful tank in this thread!!! Keep it up!

fkshui your tank looks awesome! I really like the layout of how the rockwork flows with the length of the tank. How big is that regal tang ?

Jason your tank looks amazing! Looks like you carved out a large piece of reef and brought it home. I think the two sided idea is great.

Delphinus 04-24-2008 06:51 AM

I agree, great aquascaping Jason. :)

Actually all tanks in here are great. Good work everyone! Keep 'em coming! :)

i2ik, the rabbits are not too bad at munching down the algae. The one thing I've found they won't touch is bryopsis. I would have thought a foxface would be interested in caulerpa .. a bit surprised to hear he won't go for it. I don't have any caulerpa in this tank so I don't know if they'd go after it or not. They do however make pretty quick work of chaeto.

tanks

Delphinus 07-21-2008 04:49 PM

Mike, they're pretty small so I think that's how I'm getting away with it. As they get bigger, either they'll form a mated pair, or I guess there will be trouble and I'll have to deal with it (ie., separate them) as it plays out.

tank under attack of aptasia...

untamed 07-21-2008 10:37 PM

You could make some sort of low budget horror movie by filming the aiptasia taking over that small house in there. Add some dramatic, horror music and screaming..it might go to #1 on Utube!
