this piece is starting to be a PITA. i got these three tips of coral from a shipment that the mother colony rtn'd in the bag and i have babied these hoping they would be something. they started to rock before the dinos but now they are staying a glorious brown but are growing good http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC01524.jpg http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC01516.jpg http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC01514.jpg http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC01512.jpg http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC01510.jpg purple cross http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/DSC01506.jpg |
Those are some real nice looking pieces Colin. Great colour on all of them and the polyp extension on that A. tenius is crazy.

Here's a couple of shots....This first one is just for you, Colin! Note: I don't do any post capture colour correction, and I have not figured out exactly how to compensate for my new bulbs....so the colour balance on these shots is a bit odd.
http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/100_0042.jpg This 2nd shot is actually one single piece of coral. It looks like it is going to turn red because of my new bulbs, but it is pretty bizarre looking right now! I suppose I should sell it right now and give it some kind of Red/Purple/Turquoise exciting sounding name... http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/100_0040.jpg |
nice stuff man. good job

That Montipora samarensis (often sells as carrot digi) is dangerously close to that hydnophora. One day you may look and find what looks like a spiderweb going from that green hydno to the monti or a bare skeleton that used to be the monti. I would give it at least 3 inches. |
Colin the ones snappy pointed out and #2 #6 #7 are all freaking amazing!!
You have a great collection there, we should definately trade up in a bit as mine is building up too. |

It is tough because I want the coral to achieve large (OK... REALLY large) sizes, but I can't just mount two tiny frags 12" from each other and wait 4 years for it to look good. |
