Where's the show?
 

I would like to attend THE SHOW in order to see all the "show" corals and "show" quality fish. I also have a few fish of my own that I would like to bring to the show so that others can come and marvel at how perfect they are.

Also, I am having trouble locating the standard by which my fish are measured in order to qualify for the show. Is there a certification process?

I think that a certain large chain store has the guidebook for what qualifies as a "Show" fish or coral. It think it refers to price or size or something like that.:biggrin:

It's just that an LFS chain has the habit around here of listing certain fish or corals as "show" even if the only thing different is the size (and the higher price).

I was told my fish didnt qualify because of a poor pedigree......

Are the large t-shirts show quality? At 120 I think they are, I'll take 3.

Sorry...I suppose it was a poor attempt at humour... You were not the only one not to get it. I was making fun of a silly expression that people use to sell stuff.

I forgot to include "Show Aquarium"...as if some aquariums aren't up to "Show" standard.

So...I said I wanted to attend "The Show", because it would clearly be an outstanding event. Of course, it doesn't exist.

My next rant will be about "Limited Edition" corals. Good grief. What happens when I take a frag sold to me as LE...grow it to be 12" across and produce 100 frags from it? Do I get to sell the frags as LE? Maybe I have to kill the mother colony after making the frags so that they can truly be "limited"... Oh geez...now you've got me going again...

I always insist on getting the paperwork on the mother and father of all my fish, or they won't allow them into the show. ;-)

People on RC are trying to keep track of the "pedigree" of their corals in an attempt to sell them for more than they are worth.

They totally don't let me into the show. They say things like "your anemone can go in, but you have to wait outside."

I'm totally with you on the "LE" label too...

I'd like to be in "the show", but I'm too skinny and my hide has ink marks on it. I'm not show quality.:cry:

Was just currious where I could sell my LE Show Bleached SPS colonies. Have many spectacular Show pieces in a ultra rare white colour. Truley one of a kind pieces that will blow your mind.:lol:

Did someone say Freak Show? Awesome, I'll bring my mother-in-law.

I've actually had friends say I have a "show tank" Although somehow I never did get any papers for my fish :lol:
