Images from Vancouver Aquarium (lots o' photos)
First time shooting there. It's quite a challenge, especially on weekends with the amount of people. A lot of their tanks are fairly murky too. Here are my favourites:

Nice pics buddy what kind of camera are you using?
|
Thanks. I'm have a Nikon D80.
|
Nice shots.
Did you use a macro lens on those? I find its better to go on a weekday less people. |
What...no reef tank pics? lol
Great pics....I am beginning to realize how crappy my camera is. |
wow, beautiful shots :)
|
Those turned out rather well I'd say :)
|
Great pics ! whats the second pick? is that a type of cardinal.
|
Thanks!
Their reef tank is rather unimpressive. And their other salt tank was very murky. The second pic is a closed up cold water anemone. I think that cardinal looking this is a cardinal...lol, not sure though. |
In the second to last shot that is a pajama cardinal.
|
thats what i thought but it looks quite a bit different from the ones i had.
|
Wow that Grunt Scuplin has wicked colouring and is there a spiny pacific lumpsucker beside it? Nice pictures!
Matt EDIT: Holy! I just realized theres like six in that picture....AWESOME! |
Thanks for the pictures. Great job.
|
lol well in all fairness, the pajama cardinal is in the only live coral tank  so does that count as a reef tank pic?
the second pic is a closed up white spotted rose anemone. Yeah the some of the grunts in that tank are a bit weird. They are captive bred and this generation (F3 i think by now) had a few weird solid orange colour morphs. matt, yes the fish to the far left in that pic is a spiny pacific lumpsucker, another captive raised fish. grunt + lumpy = CUTE  great pics btw! |
I love those sculpins. If I ever got a cold tank, I'd get one of those :D
Thanks! |
Gorgeous pictures!! What's the little guy with the puckered face by what I think is an airstone?
|
that's the sculpin. I thinks it's the grunt sculpin.
