Gettin' screwed on aquaria canada
Ok this is a vent post, but is also a warning for everyone else. About a month ago I thought I had bought 2 seio's off a guy on aquaria canada. I ended up sending him $95 via paypal.
Checking back now I see that not only are the seio's still posted fs, but it looks like he has changed the price of them and re-updated his ad. He hasn't responded to me since then and here I sit with my paypal receipt less my moula. I'm just mad. :2gunfire: Lesson learned, be extremely careful who you buy shipped goods from! I don't know what to do about this...I guess it is buyer beware. Guessing I have no recourse but if I find out I do I will sure as heck take it. I might be into saltwater tanks, which some people take to mean I would have alot of money. I don't. What I have is an extremely high debt load. I have to budget and put things on credit and I make sacrifices to be able to be in this hobby. $95 is alot of money for my family, I could have bought groceries with that instead of sending it off to some guy for nothing. Anyway, that is my rant. *sigh* |

As doesn't seem like this guy is a vendor on aquariacanada can you post feedback about individuals there?
And might be on the edge but can since this is about a aquariacanada, could you post here who he is? |
I am pretty sure you can do a dispute with paypal and get your cash back.

Don't bother with Paypal, their dispute process is total bulls---. If you paid with your Credit Card, call your company and tell them what happened. Most people find that their CC is much more efficient than waiting for a company such as Paypal.

You should be able to dispute it with paypal or you cc company to get your money back assuming in was less than 30 days ago.

How about his/her name? Maybe some of the members here know them.

Have you posted there on that specific thread stating that you've already paid for them and are waiting for them to be delivered? Have you contacted their admins about it?

if you don't want to post it in a open forum, you can PM it to me. i am a mod over there and i'll make sure to pass it on to the site admin. i don't know if there is anything we can do but maybe we can stop it from happening to anyone else. |
yes i would dispute it with paypal and then call up your C.C company and let them know that you were suckered maybe atleast your experience cant put this guy on the C.C companys watch list sorry to hear about you misfortune

I'm going to just keep my cool for now and hope this gets resolved. It may or may not have been that person's fault. Whether it is or isn't I have at least learned to be more cautious. Now that I have cooled off I am thinking with a clearer head. I'm going to try again to contact him. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
