Reef Network Takeing pictures of your Tank Workshop
The first of, I hope, many workshops that the Reef network has planned How to take pictures of your Aquarium will be a fun afternoon with 2 people that work in the photographic industry.
Both Brad and myself have more years working in the photo industry than we would like to admit. The day will include one on one tips and tricks for your specific camera along with general rules of picture taking. Please bring your camera and any accessories you would use to take pictures, Lenses, Tripod, Light boxes The event will take place on Saturday March 15th @ 2:00pm Please RSVP here or on the Reef Network Blog or 3Reef. I would like to attend this workshop.
Thanks, Chris |
Darn! That sounds like fun, I hate to miss it, I sure could use the help. Unfortunately I'll be touching down on Maui right about that time

Hi Jason
Its 82 and sunny down here in Florida, however I will be back in reality next Friday. You can count me in and let my tell you, I need a lot of help when it comes to taking pictures of my tanks. My pictures always look as if I could be used as an earthquake early warning system. Tom R |
Added to this wonder event is a Great Door Prize. A Kodak V803 camera. This is a 8MP 3X zoom digital camera
Kodak V803 WOW very cool Thanks Brad |
Count me in. Hopefully my camera will still be intact by March 15th
|
You remembered you needed some cutting boards and a grocery bag holder ;)

Address
The photo seminar event is a go (as far as I know...)
The address is: House #66 1701 Parkway Blvd. Coquitlam, BC 604-464-3055 if you get lost. It is right near the Westwood Plateau Academy golf course. There are only 4 available guest parking spots, so come on time (2PM) or you'll have to park on Parkway and walk a block. Brad. |
Don't forget this Saturday at 2:00. Plenty of time to hit your LFS before you head to Brad's
Everyone is Welcome!!! J |
We've decided that we had best specify a time for the door prize draw. Be there before 4PM, or miss your chance at the digital camera!
Brad. |
I'll be there. Since there's limited parking, hopefully we can arrange some carpooling. I'm in Burnaby, where's everyone else coming from?
I'll bring some brownies for snacks too. Anthony |
I'm all in favour of carpooling....but don't do it just because parking is bad. There are only 4 prime parking spots. Beyond that, you just have to walk 100 yards...
B |
If there is still room, I'd like to attend.
[Anthony, I'll call you tomorrow about a car pool] Cheers, Vic |
Last advertisement!!!
Recharge your batteries tonight!!! Bring your camera...even if you think your camera is no good...We'll show you how to get the most out of the camera you have. Don't have a camera or your camera is broken? Come anyway! There will be spare cameras available so you can try your skills. Brad. |
OK..one more....
Refreshments will be provided. |
I'll be bringing Veng68, Franklin & TNT Canada. See you in a couple of hours.
|

The only risk is running out of food. See you soon. Brad. |
Thanks for hosting this very informative & fun event. Met up with lots of local reefers & learned some good tips from both Brad & Jason about how to take better pics. Thank your wife for the munchies too. Sorry the Fudgy Brownie Bits were storebought & not home-made.
See you all on Wednesday night at the Fresgo. Anthony |
Thanks for hosting this event Brad :)
I'll post some pictures when I get some time. Cheers, Vic [veng68] |
Thanks to everyone for coming! That was a really great turnout. It was my very great pleasure to host the event and I hope that some useful photography experience was dispensed.
Grats to Dan (Mastergunsg) who won the door prize digital camera. Brad. |
