Obviously I've bought your 16" cube and I was wondering what you had encountered as the "extra junk" This will be my first custom tank and any advice of what you've encountered would be great.

the filter is a bit overpriced

not really, its worth $140 plus shipping at JL and plus the price of the heater and light add another $50
