Great Seafood places in Calgary
Hey guys,
I was hoping someone can help me out... I need a good seafood restaurant recommendation as calgary doesnt have that many places that are decent that i know of. There is catch but at that price no thanks... |
seafood
Great seafood...In Calgary:lol: Thats like trying to find great chinese food in Chilliwack..
Seriously, the last time I was in Calgary, Ric's was ok..see if they have a stand-by list as well, people cancel all the time.. But really great seafood, Kettleo fish in Vancouver is good if they are still around,,Victoria has some great ones too, It's only an hour away by air..that would impress her.:eating: |
lol well ok.. not great but good :P
If I was a baller then yea a quick plane ride is nothing, but i aint and Im not going to dish out like $200 for dinner at Catch if i dont have too, haha... just need something within reason. Man i hate this freak stupid day... |
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh
Me too, How about a "fillet o fish" at Mcd's. My wife would love that..Not! Does it have to be seafood?? You guys have some pretty decent steak houses there if I remember correctly..
|
ok i edited the post as i found the place i need for thursday, haha.. i actually called up Ric's to see if they had a cancellation list and i guess someone cancelled 5mins before i called. hahaha....
I love steak and i know a few good places but she is a seafood lover. I figure if we go to Ric's, I can get my steak and she can get her seafood. |
Cool
Great stuff, Glad things worked out..like I said somebody always cancels..

I'm the luckiest married guy on the site this year. My wife is going on a "date" with two of my friends wives. Some silly play in town that my uncultured brain could not tolerate. I get to stay home and play Guitar Hero with my two Pico Reefers.

thx again dsaundry
hillbilly you are lucky.... i wish i could have just chilled it out too. Im looking fwd to March 14 thou, hahaha... google: march 14 steak  |
If you are considering Ric's and not a restaurant that specalizes in seafood, check out The Living Room. I'm assuming this is for a Valentine's Day dinner and this place has a pretty nice vibe to it with a good variety on the menu.
It might be tough getting a reservation now though. |
yea its for valentines and ive been to the living room. I tried pretty hard to find a ONLY seafood place but really there is nothing besides Catch and of course red lobster or joey's only, haha...
|
lol.
This may be the time to get her used to low expectations. Take her to Joey's and from here on in, anything better than Joey's will be a treat. One year I forgot valentines day altogether and from then on, my wife has been greatfull for the fact I even remembered. |
lmao too funny... well i think "wife" is the key point in your relationship
|
Good point. Although, she was my girlfriendat the time of my mistake. Boy, did it take her a long time to get over that screw-up...
Have fun at Ric's. Dam, I'm craving those spicy crispy onions they serve... |
Ric's is awsome.
My GF and I chose to buck the system and go out saturday nite instead. To Ric's. It just makes life so much easier, also a great new hobby, go down to the local store around 5:30 on VD and watch the line of guys silently panic grabbing a load of over priced candy and walking to the line up to pay. Looks like a POW camp. |
