I think at 3 weeks you should add nothing else to the tank for at least a month while you wait for the tank to settle in. The age of the tank being 3 weeks is that including the cycle, or was it cycled, plus 3 weeks? If it's 3 weeks including the cycle, then I bet your cycle isn't even complete yet, in which case I'd be watching your Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nirate VERY closely to make sure you don't lose your inhabitants. In the future, don't put a starfish in so early...you may lose him to starvation. They shouldn't be added until the tank is at least 6 months old. You're already moving too fast, slow down, take a deep breath, and enjoy watching it develop. Remember, nothing good ever happens fast in a saltwater tank. What kind of lighting do you have? Can you list your parameters? List everything you can test for, which I hope includes at least temperature, salinity, pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate. |
this is my tank at 5 weeks old ive since added a power compact light and DIY sump ive also added a blue backround and covered the stand for esthetics
